People who live in glass houses in Oklahoma shouldn't throw stones

Funny how those odd smells from childhood never leave you, isn't it? I grew up near a sugar beet processing plant. You'd think something that makes granulated sugar would smell wonderful, but, um, no. It's rather horrid.

@Paladin79 I was wondering what I should do with that second Stjârna input. Seriously, Tom, you're too kind. If it works out I would be overjoyed. And if it does come to fruition, I'll have to ponder what sort of treat you and Finnegan would enjoy in return. I can already think of a few. Hm, that's a Patricia Barber release I haven't heard. Added to the Listen Later pile. I've always been partial to her ambitious Mythologies record. Who'd have imagined that a jazz song cycle based on Ovid would work?

Oooh, Indian food. One of my favorites too. I have tons of spices (they know me by name at my local Penzey's spice shop) and often prepare custom made masalas and will typically make one Indian meal a week. My wife doesn't typically indulge, so I can make it as hot as I like.

@WeepingGuitar Well, I recommend spinning this to help you get through the wait...

Finnegan came in and headed straight for the Amazon package the catnip bananas came in then found the toy. Meanwhile:

Then there was the chocolate factory a few blocks from my children's elementary school.
In San Francisco, Ghirardelli Square is now converted to shops and restaurants, but when I was a small kid it was still in full operation as the Ghirardelli chocolate factory. My brother and I could smell the chocolate even a half mile away when we walked to school in the morning.

The massive, seminal work by Marcel Proust, À la recherche du temps perdu, was prompted by the smell of a madeleine which was cooling on a window-sill.

Also among other things @theeclone sent me was a wonderful bottle of California Cabernet Sauvignon!! My wife and I are saving that for just the right meal.🤪
Paso Robles seems to do those well. Interesting label on that one too 😛

Now, now. No need to be so hard on yourself. You exhibit flashes of intellect on occasion when posting. Or is that just ChatGPT? 😏
