For me it was The Red Devils before they became the Eagles Aerobatics Team and (RIP) Leo Loudenslager.
The Zlin pilot might be Rob Harrison (The Tumbling Bear) or, less likely, Terry Burch.
I knew Tom quite well as I was the treasurer and board director for IAC in a previous life.
I wish I had known Leo and Charlie.
But I still have to pinch myslef to be sure that I'm not dreaming about the acro pilots I have been lucky enough to know.
When I did my jet conversion training in the UK, it turned out that Tony Haig-Thomas had flown as a member of the UK team with a bunch of folks I kew in the USA. Didn't get me any benefit if the debriefs!!
As are both my sons - Mechanical Engineer (Toyota R/D HQ) and Airline Pilot (SWA). They stand on THEIR comments and first-hand observations about SOME of their generation. I’ve experienced it with them over the last 5 years or so in several cases.
I’ll note for the record that per ACP’s (reasonable) request, I did NOT “continue the discussion”, let alone passive-aggressively bringing up the intentionally insulting and offensive “Incel” term, but many others felt the need to repeatedly pile on, and/or signal, after said admonishment….
So, me? I’m fff to go find my copy of the Eagles Dirty Laundry and refresh my memory about Blondes! oh wait… offensive lyrics! Maybe I’ll try Dire Straits Money for Nothing! Or some Stones Brown Sugar, or…
Slippery slopes and glass houses. Can we please get back to music and Schiit?
Bigfeet??
I fly in the general vicinity of Area 51 a few times per month. I’m always hoping to catch a glimpse of something secret and cool. Never going to happen but a guy can dream.
They aren't connected. The components are just mounted so I can test stuff. Like comparing 2 turntables (thru a sys) passing thru a solid state pre-amp or a tube pre-amp (2 more switches). There's any number of possible connections, with or without a DAC, Tube or Solid State Pre-Amp, no pre-amp (SYS volume control), single amp, or monoblocked, or headphones. For sources I have a WiiM Pro Plus, Rega PL3, or Denon CD. Plus another suite of FOSI gear. Obviously I'm retired & have way too much spare time.

I worked at the FBO where Charlie kept his Eagle and other personal planes and he was always very nice to me. Coincidentally, I was classmates with his son, Reese. Unfortunately, I was present at his last performance when he passed away.
I never met Leo but I saw him perform several times and IMO he stands above those who came after him.
Also, a particularly sexist comment. My eldest says the same thing about the other gender.
Let's refrain from any -ism other than music-lover-ism.
HST, I haven't heard any Irish music that I find pleasing. Irish Singers, sure, (Sinead!), folk songs, not so much. Don't particularly like folk in any case.
