Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

I really do not mind either way but I would love to see Saquon Barkley finally win something after those years with the Giants. I really think he will be the key to the game today and has had a stellar year.
Interesting to see what the Chiefs do at LT. The Eagles have a great OL and DL. KC going to short passing game to offset rush. Hurts should run a lot.

I hadn't heard of Detroit style pizza either, until relatively recently (maybe 6 years ago). It became a food trend across the US and now there are multiple Detroit style pizzerias here in San Francisco. I like it! An additional option to choose for variations of pizza. Wikipedia has a good description with pics, and its history: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Detroit-style_pizza
Back in the day, we used to just call it "Little Caesar's."

(Or Buddy's...if you know, you know)

So for those of you out there who, like me, do not care about the NFL and are not watching today's Super Bowl, what activity do you have planned instead?

I'm about to start making some red enchilada sauce from scratch for smothered chicken, chili and cheese tamales, I have pinto beans soaking, and a growler of craft beer in the fridge. Oh and there will be music.
Probably not a surprise that, based in UK, I have zero interest in the Super Bowl.

However, I hope that those who do have an interest in NFL enjoy the game!

I am watching an FA Cup (Association Football) game between Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur on TV.

Later, it will be a roast beef meal and some music.

Some mellow Jazz for a Sunday evening- Andy Sheppard’s ‘Learning to Wave’ album will do nicely
Cheers :beerchug:

We will order in food for the game , we usually do that for food on a Sunday anyway. My wife has an interest in the commercials more than the actual game, those are always fun.

Happy Superbowl to those that celebrate!

I just finished up a quick project with my Hel 2 that stopped turning on:

I ordered a couple sets of rca jacks and a 10k logarithmic pot from digi-key. Reusing the pre out 3.5mm, I ran two sets of inputs through one of the front switches. Then I replaced the 50k potentiometer with a 10k one.

Now it's basically a SYS preamp in Hel form. Running right now with an Adcom power amp and sounds great!

Palate cleanser: this is, perhaps, my anthem.

This is great, I need to listen to the entire album now: ”Buchla and Singing” (2016)

Margaritas and Tequila shots for my 65th B-day. What were my friends and family thinking??!! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

A fun night was had and now it is time for tunes. ;)

We'll have my father-in-law over for supper for shepherds pie (a favourite of his) with a mix of yellow and sweet potato on top, and I'll make a beef bourguignon in the Instant pot so we can stagger that and the pie for meals next week. He'll take some of both home. My Call of Duty buddies will be watching the game, so once our supper company leaves I'll fire up the Midgard headphone stack beside my reading chair and lose myself in J.R.R./Christopher Tolkien's "History of Middle Earth" books that cover the "Lord of the Rings" (combined into one volume). It's all early drafts and commentary, about 2,016 pages. I'm two-thirds into it.

Happy Saturday!

Nice recommendation! This and the other early 70s MFs were very big with my middle and high school jazz ensemble group. Had to go to Spotify to find this for a listen, half his catalog seems to be missing from Qobuz. Have to admit that some have aged better than others though (Conquistador 🤨).

As a Cowboys fan I simply cannot root for the Eagles. Plus KC QB is a Texas Tech alum so while I'm a bit unenthused as to who wins it cannot be Philly - even if Barkley is awesome and worthy.
