Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

People on automotive sites say they want wagons and manual transmissions endlessly...then buy trucks and SUVs with automatics. And then wonder why car companies make trucks and SUVs with automatics.

Having looked, I have to say not very many (zero?) of them meet these 2 criteria:
1. Looks good with Schiit.
2. Looks good in my home.

You could at least address point 1.
I have Salamander Design Archetype in one location, Solidsteel HW in another. SD Archetype needs careful assembly, but it looks good and it is way cheaper than Solidsteel. Solidsteel HW is built like a tank; assembly is easier except on one's lower back :hushed: Both have treated my audio gear, including Schiit, very well.

Here in NC, there's many areas of public lands overrun with Kudzu. If you know Kudzu, you know the problem.

I'll skip the normal reactions, chemicals, powered mowers, burn.

The answer is goats. A herd of goats can clean an area, even an area with rocky and mountainous terrain, within days.
They use goats here too in the suburban parks. A small area is fenced off where the weeds have gone wild. In a week it's pretty much under control again.

Sanus AFA (black shelves, silver posts)
https://www.crutchfield.com/p_051AFAB/Sanus-AFA-Accurate.html

first one I ordered (from VA to west coast) was not treated so well by the common carrier, but vendor C (in business since the 1970's IIRC) made everything alright with a prompt replacement sent 3-day.

(revised after watching today's Jason AMA)
IIRC MJ3 is closed bottom but uses the bottom chassis as a heat sink, so an open wire frame commercial rack should improve cooling vs a solid shelf. Alternatively one could purchase a conventional solid shelf rack that meets domestic aesthetic and colorway requirements (SAF), and add some additional ventilation holes under the equipment with a 1-1/2" or 2" hole-saw or forstner bit, albeit with some reduction in shelf load capacity.

Watch and see, grasshopper!

There CAN be exceptions (and I may be wrong), but it takes extremely long-view “investors”, and uncommon intelligence (neither an attribute of Bose post Amar)... most of the time it is just pure “financialization”…

Yes, I’m officially a curmudgeon.
Finacialization Facilities: contract operated predatory plankton bioreactors to feed the zoogleal masses. Curmudgeonism: hard earned experience.

Doing my part to keep (hot) hatches alive.
I will never not miss my. 2005 WRX. (Not exactly true. In reality, I won’t miss my ‘05 WRX before it hit 250k miles and a whole lot of expensive, but not drive critical schiit began to break. I don’t miss that at all)

I am a longtime member with 14 pieces of Schiit, but this is my first post. I have 2 Schiit Ragnaroks, one empty, and this one fully loaded. This Loaded Ragnarok has been on 24 hours per day for my last several years, and it is the Only Schiit amp on my computer. This unit gets used more than all 13 of my other Schiit units (3 Vidar 2s, 3 Jotenheims, Yggie MIB, Mjolnir 3, Syn, 2 Tyrs 2, the bare Ragnarok, and a Kara. All the others arre in 2 other systems in the home, but all of my computer access and reading of this thread is on this most used Schiit Ragnarok. I will be sad to see it go and never be renewed and improved. I doubt I will pay extra to have anything forkbearded as it does not "Improve" the sound, and I refer to sit and listen to the music at its best, not play with hardware to distract me. That is why I bought and listen to the Mjolnir 3 and leave the KARA turned off: I don't care for the sound of the KARA at all and the Mjolnir 3 sounds great into the Vidar 2s and now the Tyrs into my Revel Ultima Studio speakers. The amps before were Parasound JC 1 s. The Ragnarok has always been my most used piece of Schiit.
