Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

I don’t disagree with a single thing you said here, but there was a pair of grados brought to the first Canjam Dallas by Schiit, and I listened to them on the mjolnir 3 with an yggy variant as the dac and I’m not gonna lie, it was the first time I heard a grado and enjoyed it. I can’t remember for the life of me which model it was, but it told me that grado does have some ability to make a good sounding headphone, but they make a ton of misses, and their build quality and their obsession of non detachable garbage cables is just unacceptable. But yeah, if grado actually makes a great headphone from that, I’ll be interested. All that being said, all your critiques are probably going to be true. I’ll reply to this after Canjam and let you know my impressions. Just to close the loop
Good points, but out of my collection the Grado SR325x and RS2x are the headphones I reach for the most.

Grado headphones seem to be made for the Vali 3 (way better than Sennheiser HD6xx for me).

Blessed to have clean mains. Got no stories….. well 1. There was a time years back, that we had a ton of micro outages, any rate my old music server which was entry level, still big doe, I’d have to access internals and flip the battery, I politely complained past warranty, this went right to the president of said company which replied comp this customer a flagship music server for his hassle, at twice the price. So alls well that ends well. The guys hand delivered after installing my ssd I purchased for it even.

I own the Grado RS1i. Love it.

Having both here side by side, the Senns have that Senn "veil" compared to the grados....no "veil" there...
There are some rather good earpads for the Grados now from third parties that are decent IMO compared to stock pads.

Hoping to get into a Grado "tour" soon with these cans..
Midgard is drooling here!!
:>)

Try going for Trick or Drink this year.:beerchug:
I had such a long day yesterday I am having a vodka mule a bit earlier than usual.😀 Crappy weather here, lots of rain. The drinks name has undergone some changes in the last couple years. I like the name much better than Freedom fries.🤪

I've always got a flask of something about my person while I stroll the neighborhood with my kids on Halloween night. 😊

I joke about it but hopefully @bcowen does not have any severe weather as well as those in Texas and Kansas. Possible tornadoes.

I have no idea. Twins were there, I repeat twins!!!🤪

The cartridge output is .22 mv and 60 DB seemed to handle it just fine but then I am just pulling up specs and did not do the setup. I mostly listened and looked at the turntable. That is my story and I’m sticking to it.

I had to hear the recording you sent me of Scheherazade as a fun listen and it was breathtaking.

I do like to combine nice cabinetry with great sound as might be seen in some of my work.
Glad it was great for you. It really is my ultimate (classical) “test/reference disc” (and I happen to love the music as well, always a good thing)

I do try to pay attention to those who have specific likes. Unless it is Marilyn Manson of course.🤪

I did want to try some rock so it was Zevon, Pink Floyd (Division Bell), and The Clash but just a song or two.

It's time for a chilling movie. I think it will be Poltergeist for me. Good old Spielberg movie....
It was always the Omen for me or The Shining.
