Mayfair in full tilt across the street, live amplified music for the next 72 hours! 🤤 (stop by if you're in the area)

Now, to stir the BBQ pot, I think African BBQ might surpass NC AND TX BBQ. (not that I have any way of knowing since no access to other of those and Eastern PA is a BBQ desert...)

Would it be insane to use the Mjolnir 3 as a preamp into Vidar OG into Sendy Aiva? Planars need power, right?

I have a collection of cardboard toilet paper tubes (for the dogs' entertainment).

What say you, @bcowen, how many in exchange?
Oh geeez. Cardboard 101: not all cardboard is created equally. No offense intended of course, but your 'collection' is worth about the same as a collection of 1990's era Chinese tubes. Or maybe 1/8 of a drop of Pappy. 🤣 🤣

Mark Pfledderer? I remember him. :)
That's the guy! He's awesome, and he and my sister are awesome together. I am very happy for them both!

Put on ragtime music if you want them to work faster.:laughing:
I was thinking more of the Ramones. Blitzkrieg Bop and similar. I could put on Marilyn Manson so they would hurry to get finished and away from the sound.🤪

Nah. I'm Pretty sure I got that right. If you want them to hang and party, queue-up some Cumbia. At least for Texas landscape workers.🤣

Different strokes for different folks…
Dude... let me tell you... I tried. Their previous music system was an iPad sending free Spotify to a JBL Bluetooth speaker, so... massive upgrade. The system is downstairs in their family room, and they generally do the L.I.A.R. thing on the mid-level of the house, so it essentially a mono presentation. #nottheapogees :)

Lol! Pappy is one thing I'd never buy online. Actually, with my retirement budget I quite likely won't be buying it in person either. 🤣

So much BS out there:

I mean I'm sure we all buy our top-shelf bourbon from a hair salon, so maybe it's just me. 🤣

Above is from a reputable online store and probably reflective of a current market price for the genuine thing. Still, if I ever decided to splurge on something like this, I'd go to my local store and ask them to order it for me. Pretty sure they don't have a large stock on the shelf. 🤣

At live classical concerts, unless I'm sitting in the first few rows, if I close my eyes I can only point in the general direction of a solo player. The origin of the sound is quite diffuse and there is no "holographic soundstage" that audiophiles talk about. I've never listened to a Bose 901 but being able to point to a solo player is not necessarily "realistic" sound.
+100.
