I use it as a preamp into either my OG Aegir or OG Vidar. They're both driving speakers, though.

I think that the MJ3 makes a fine preamp. With the right music it can create a HUGE soundstage, even with my favourite FM station as the source.

As usual, YMMV.

Excellent.
Another fan of FM!

I was thinking more of the Ramones. Blitzkrieg Bop and similar. I could put on Marilyn Manson so they would hurry to get finished and away from the sound.🤪
I think that Manson would cause them to walk off the job due to OSHA violations in multiple areas.:stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes::stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

"You can be sure, if it's Westinghouse"

Love those old electronics commercials and their slogans.
Me too. Especially RCA's Nipper.

Me too. Especially RCA's Nipper.

I could be wrong but RCA might still use it on their red seal records. I definitely know someone I can ask. He recorded my groups test music.

I am a big fan of Art Noxon's research and writings. I read his treatise on room treatments a little differently; the room reverberation time (RT60), if not managed, would allow sounds to propagate - a.k.a. echo - long enough to mask lower volume tones and transients.

Noise, echo - one thing, two words? :)

/ds
Darko did a series of videos on room treatment specifically to correct the RT60 measurements in three different rooms of his (Berlin apartment, Portugal apartment, and Portugal apartment office) showing resounding (literally re-sound-ing his rooms) success in all three cases with wall and ceiling panels. He also showed that rugs and curtains and furniture are near-meaningless in trying to treat a room.

I need to get moving so I can finish projects for friends on here. I need to go back and find a couple music recommendations from here, yesterday it was Rimsky-Korsakov. Maybe another genre today, I like choices.😉
Well... in that case, what about some Mali kora music? A good starting point with two of the masters:

Then, a favorite by each of them:
