That's why I keep a Batman costume in my closet; one of these days I'm going to open that closet door and go, "Dayum!!!"37-42 years ago.... Remember it like yesterday, too bad I can't remember what I get up to get something 75% of the time these days...
One day soon I'm going to look at my rig, and say 'what's that?'
But if you're seriously looking for ideas of what not to build , a small display/'in rotation' rack would be pretty cool.Got it, space for three 6sn7’s and a couple novals.
Got it. You want a spice rack. Why didn’t you just say so?But if you're seriously looking for ideas of what not to build , a small display/'in rotation' rack would be pretty cool.
(just to illustrate the idea....yours would obviously look waaaaaay better than this):
Room for 7 or 8 or 9 novals on top, 5 or 6 small octals in the middle, and power octals (5998, 6080, etc) on the bottom. Drill holes in the shelves to accept the tubes, and for the novals glue a plug of scotchbrite into each hole. Would keep the tube standing upright, and clean the pins every time you swapped out the tube. Scotchbrite wouldn't work well for octals, but you could drill the hole just large enough to encompass the pins, and the rest of the base would keep it from falling through the hole. Would only need to be about 2.5" deep to contain something like a 5998 at the bottom. Add a wide(r) base for tabletop use, or for me, no base and being able to hang it on the wall would be super cool.
If you need any other ideas for something you have no interest in building, remember I'm always here to help.
Because you said you weren't going to build it anyway. Just trying to be agreeable and not tell you.Got it. You want a spice rack. Why didn’t you just say do?
Compound bows! Very nice... I have to get mine restrung..My addition of a lazy Susan along with flight board on a table I built. Just toying with the idea right now. I love the use of contrasting woods. Not far away is my main audio system, so this works for me and late night listening.
I'm pretty sure those are recurves.Compound bows! Very nice... I have to get mine restrung..
... 4500 janka hardness rating ... maybe for Maryln Manson earplugs ...Thanks, I like to do justice to fine hardwoods. One I will not work with again is lignum vitae. It is pretty but…. it is $500 a cubic foot and it does not take glue well or finish apparently. It also does not float, rot, or burn but self-lubricating properties are the toughest to resolve.
I am stalling till Jason gives price and specs on the Kraken. I gave up on you sending me 21 year old Balvenie.Because you said you weren't going to build it anyway. Just trying to be agreeable and not tell you.
They are indeed all recurves.I'm pretty sure those are recurves.
OOOH right... I told you I was losing it....I'm pretty sure those are recurves.
