Was at the day 1 announce of the PC.

Then there was this: RISC!

I wonder if blue 'maters will be more sensitive towards my acid reflux than the reds?

Red = Angry Blue = Chill

This is the remainder of the info I have at this time. My source is knowledgeable, I will ask when I see her next.😉

How about Token Ring and PC Jr Cluster! HA!

Went to Chicago to get my Token-ring 2 (Early Token Release) certification. Learned enough about it that I became very proficient at troubleshooting, ripping it out for customers, and replacing it with 10Base-T Ethernet. 😁

Blue, purple, deep red, and violet foods tend to be good for you.😁 Or so I am told. Got any surprises heading my way soon? I will be shipping things tomorrow myself.😉

Yes! I've been more burdened than usual as we (finally) veer towards the end of the school year. Be a parent, they said. It'll be fun, they said...

Fortunately mine are grown and through college, my turn to be needy.🤪 Time to be that which walks on four legs in the morning, two legs at noon, and three in the evening. My daughter especially has been so helpful lately I may need to rewrite the will.

Edit 2 : First PC I bought was a 286-10, with 1024k RAM, 20MB Hard Drive and EGA Graphics. Was awesome and cost me a couple of months pay. 1200/75 modem and Compuserve was the online option :relieved:
And how much money I gave those guys playing Megawars 3 at 300 baud.... 🤣

BSD was not open source in any legal sense, at least not until all of multiple lawsuits were resolved. The story is the following:
  1. Bell Labs made PDP-11 Unix source code available to universities and nonprofit research labs from the mid 70s, under some somew
Funny 3rd party story - only semi related to PDP 11s, heard from someone interviewing at Paul Allen's computer museum many years ago:

They had staff racing around the world trying to acquire old computers, a group of electrical engineers and other talent. They were warned 1 of the EEs on the team would occasionally get called out of the office....

To help operate Paul Allen's personal submarine when he wanted to take it out into the sound.

Remember, third hand story told many years ago, but indicates quite the lifestyle, eh?
