Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

I don't know about physics, but Bcowen's Law that Vali 2 was the best bang for the buck in all of audio has been dashed against the rocks. I do, however, reserve the right to modify Bcowen's Law whenever I feel like it, and as such it now states that Vali 3 is the best bang for the buck in all of audio. 🤣
Hell’s ducks on a saltine, do you mean I should buy yet another headphone amp? If so list the reasons why and I will consider it.🤪🤪 You best be convincing too.😂

There is great thought given to the actors who read, people like Wil Wheaton for sci-fi, then there are those who can make you believe nine different voices are involved by using just their own. It is an art form IMHO.
Jim Dale and Brennan Fraser are amazing audio book readers. Mr. Frazer's readings of Inkspell and Dragon Rider are captivating.

He does an outstanding job in narrating 'Ready Player One'.

** I have Tom to thank for opening my ears to Audible.
It is much better than the movie.🤪

I'm nearly convinced, but I can't give up on Valhalla 3 getting made, for a bedside stack.

Hmm, maybe a bedside Incubus setup, I'm sure my wife would never notice if I replace the Piety with it 😄

1. Because I said so.
2. See #1.
3. It's $149. You spent more than that on Finnegan treats last month. 🤣

Buy enough small form factor Schiit products and perhaps I can trade a birdseye maple rack for a Vali 3.🤣

Shades of Lost Girl there, bedside Incubus... :-O
Giving up your Piety definitely adds to that vibe...

The soundstage on this Enigma album, track 7: the voice and the snake…

Is epic.image.jpg
I pulled up this album in my library after you suggested it, I hadn't listened to it in years...

That track is very impressive with headphone setup too! Schiit Yggy OG/A2----Nitsch DSHA 3FN amp-----ZMF Atrium Open. Great soundstage indeed! :beerchug:

Finnegan is insulted, $150 would barely get his claws trimmed not to mention his Beluga caviar at $2,800 per tin. Cretin! Next time you dream of bringing up Finnegan you best wake up and apologize! 😸😸

I'm very much the same with cigars. Just never appealed to me. But even after many, many years, wave a cigarette in front of me and I'd still be tempted.

I prefer bourbon to scotch, but I can enjoy a good scotch just the same. The key word there is "good." Before following this thread and learning from some of the masters here, I used to think Dewars was "good" scotch. Yeah, um....not.
Dewars and soda, in a tall glass, packed with ice, and a lemon twist is a damn near perfect sweltering hot day drink. That is a hill I will die on.

Uh oh, I am a sucker for the Birdseye...

I need to count components, how many shelves would there be?
Shelf numbers are extremely important and I may just have some amazing birdseye maple set aside for such a build. You know my work, and you might well own more of them than some guy in Oklahoma of all places.🤪🤪
Custom work, shelves as needed.

Looks really good. Your recipe??
It's the house recipe at the distillery I work at. I think it's 2 parts whiskey (rye in this case), 1 part amaro, and 1 part sweet vermouth, garnished with a twist of orange peel.
