Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

I am continuously impressed by the 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan minivan my gal has. I despised it to begin with but it has slowly won me over. 10 years old and it still gets sub-9L/100km mileage in eco mode on the highway (in the Rockies!), can carry 4'x8' plywood sheets with all the doors closed (show me a pickup that can do that), fits three adults and two large dogs plus all necessary accompanying luggage, and in a pinch works well for car camping.

Accelerates slowly and handles like a boat, but for doing transpo type things it's way better than any car I've ever owned.

My niece’s husband had a Grand Caravan and I too was thoroughly impressed with their cargo capacity. I likened it to the Millenium Falcon. It may not look like much but it can carry a lot of Schiit!

During my short vacation I discovered this gem. It gave me a good insight: buy better schiit:smile:

Have a nice weekend, Chris

OK .... non-Schiitheads (if you're reading this) .... you can quit the cackling .... .... a good listen to this combo will 'power-wash' the smirks off your faces and leave you all chortling in delight. ☑️
Ok. I gotta ask...

Piety vs Vali 3? It's one of the other - should I sell Piety and buy Vali 3? Who wins in this mini amp Texas cage match?

Without experience with Piety .... I'll say Vali 3 - because of tube roll possibilities.

Kia Telluride might be great for you. Hyundai & Kia quality has improved vastly over the years and they still offer that 10-year warranty!
Good reminder! I remember they made quite the splash when first introduced, so maybe 1 or 2 generations later even more desirable. I also emailed a buddy who was an early Genesis adopter.

I have both and it is hands down the Vali3. The Piety is a good tube sounding SS amp but a very generic tube at that. A generic tube that can not be changed.

Wife brought up kicking my Navigator to the curb - and she is not wrong. Busted entertainment system, bumped up bumpers, too many repair bills. Barely kissing 10 years with me - with a few easy Covid years - seems to be ending prematurely.

Gotta talk her outta the Audi as I am a Japanese fan boy, but dang is everything expensive! Covid high used prices continue. Audi and Lexus SUVs rule the neighbors, with a splattering of Escalades and Yukons.

Looking for roomy and 3 rows with 3 wide in the middle, and agree surburban need not apply. She is HYPER anti minivan, and can smell the shared chassis a mile away.
Used car prices are plummeting! I had a quote for J's Nissan that has gone form $5K down to $500 in the space of a few months. Idiotic.

My last saloon was a G80 and I loved it. Not perfecet and the service wasn't great, but a fabulous car.

This rec is a little left of left field. The new album from Einstrürzende Neubauten (yes, I tyoed that correctly without looking 😝) is very very good. Sturdy, mature songwriting, fairly even-keeled (for them), yet full of all the percussive clangs and bangs they're known for, and forward earnest vocals; it's a great headphone listen.
