Yes, I have a few of the Cohen albums. But I try to gravitate toward the younger generations in jazz, besides Linda May Han Oh: Patricia Brennan (vibes), Joel Ross (vibes), Immanuel Wilkins (sax), Obed Calvaire (drums), Fergus McCreadie (piano), Mareike Wiening (drums), Miho Hazama (composer/big band conductor), Mary Halvorson (guitar), Ambrose Akinmusire (trumpet), David Virelles (piano), Adam O'Farrill (trumpet), James Brandon Lewis (sax), ...

Me: Drinking coffee, scrolling Schiit Happened Son: "Dad! Why are you looking at a bunch of dog pictures?" Me: "It's normally cats, or BBQ, and sometimes audio gear, but today it's dogs" Son: "Where's a picture Dante?" Me: "I dunno, I don't have a good one." Son: "Give me you phone" Me: "Why? ..." Son: "Just give me your phone"
3 minutes later and my 90 lb mutt of a dog has a glamour shot ...
Much as I enjoyed FM radio during the hay days of the 70s and 80s, I have no idea why anyone would own a tuner now days. They just sound like ass. You can get the same station/music streamed that doesn't sound like ass. Nostalgia and all is great, until you have to listen to it.
And I think we need more cat here too. Here is mine when he was a little killer. Now he is a much bigger killer.
Loved that image of the cat with prey. I shouldn't. But... Re: FM radio. Gotta agree with you. In my case, it's all we can get here on the North Bruce Peninsula (I can't abide AM... shudder). Fibre optic is slowwwwwwwly being pushed up from Owen Sound.

Alan Ladd (Jr.) of film fame died in '64. His son lived until he reached 84 years of age. Perhaps it was him? He was a producer famous for taking a chance on the original "Star Wars".
Speaking of time (phase) aligned .... Years ago (mid-1970s), I auditioned for several hours at the Georgetown / D.C. Myer-Emco [remember them?] the speakers below and the Dahlquist DQ-10s.
The Bang & Olufsen Beovox M-70 pair came home after two sessions of auditions. [The golden age of high(er)-end hi-fi retailing!]
I love clicking on random albums within the wheelhouse of my genre preferences that I am completely unfamiliar with - to me, it's one of the great thrills of having thousands of recordings available at my fingertips for the cost of a movie theater popcorn and soda each month.
Last night it was a pair of very contemporary Classical works written for my favorite cellist, Mstislav Rostropovich. The final movement of the Shchedrin is especially magical.

That certainly brings back memories. I had a pair of Beovox S60s to go along with a Beomaster 4400 and a Beogram 4002 that I acquired back in the late 70s.
