Definitely helps but I would still stick with the better starting point. I think best use case for Rpi3 is with a hat, ethernet connected, and left on. 4 for every other case.
Read your PM if you get a chance.

ZMF is similar to Schiit in that its an owner operated US based shop without any outside investors, and has a very devoted community of fans/followers.
The owner (Zach) and his wife (Bevin) are also on Head-Fi, and are happy to talk with folks about their headphones, or music, or anything really.

ZMF specializes in bespoke headphones - think leather, metal, and wooden ear cups made from various wood species, some stabilized, or resin filled, etc.
Their dynamic driver headphones are all 300 Ohm which take very well to all kinds of tube amps.
I've very much enjoyed mine on Valhalla 2, Folkvangr, and even the little Vali 2 does wonderful things with them.
Certainly worth searching the forums if you're curious.

And if you have an opportunity to attend a headphone meetup in your area there will likely be someone there with a pair of ZMFs (or many of them) on hand to try out.
I have a pair of Zack's Vibro Mk II 'phones from long ago which he modded extensively from Fostex T50 planar headphones with all-new wiring and wooden ear cups and pads. Zack delighted in custom finishes and bent over backwards to get a vision I had in my head of a faded burst finish from old vintage electric guitars. The headphones sound awesome, look great, and I have always longed to hear Zack's own drivers - if he could make someone else's budget planar drivers sound that good, imagine what he's doing with his very own manufactured drivers!

Is that a subwoofer in the trunk?
.
A cooler! We kept ourselves well hydrated on the 3 1/2 hour drive up to Portland and back that day.

My friend's son has a fairly ratty Triumph Spitfire that we traded driving stints in.

At the heat death of the universe: nothing, and an Yggdrasil.
Yggdrasil is the Tree from which the new Universe will sprout.

A Universe without brick walling, or delta sigma DAC's. May it be so.

VERY nice looking. I don't have any closed-back headphones. What's the soundstage like? I'm assuming the bass is full-bodied?
This has to be one of the best closed back set of cans due to its wide soundstage...Really amazes me at how wide a closed back can can be. I heard a set of these at a Schiit meet last year. One listen made me buy a pair from ZMF. Nice full bodied bass...not as deep as my D8000 Pros or Rad 0's but for a dynamic driver its one of the best IMO.

Love the Schiit Vali2+, Piety, MJ3, Midgard with the Modius E....wonderful pairing...
