Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Actually Jason mentioned in the video that the Midgard might destroy Asgard sales, which makes sense because both of them are single ended, have the same dimensions while the Midgard is slightly cheaper and may sound better.

If you want balanced, then Midgard isn't going to be considered at all.

Midgard not a balanced amp? I am not sure, but at the video, its show the back same as Magnius ...

Hooked up a powered USB hub and so far it's working as advertised. Currently jamming to Blackened.
Harvester Of Sorrow is maybe my favorite track on that album.

Jason's bass line really shines through!

I think Jason specifically mentioned it is SE internally. I may have heard wrong though.

(Again I could be wrong but) I believe the balanced output behind the Magnius are pre-amp output, so that's going to be the same for the Midgard.

For the front, Magnius has a 4 pole XLR balanced headphone out, but on the Midgard, the 4 pole XLR is single ended, not balanced.

Hence the Midgard should be viewed as a single ended headphone amp.

I don't think Jason will make an amp with 4 pin XLR but SE inside ....

He did, that was the very first thing he discussed when he introduced the amp. He wanted to create a better Magni that uses the Magnius case but is different from the Magnius/not balanced, so he was stumped with what to do with the 4 pin XLR hole at the front of the case (start watching from 14:35 of the video). He explained how he made use of it.

I only got to see a portion of the live video. I see Midgard mentioned here, did he not mention something named Halo? (were release dates mentioned?)

Midgard Fun Facts -

- Identical to Magnius in size and inputs/outputs/buttons - Has smooth black finish
- Fully-discrete circuit design - Single-ended internal amp circuit - Unique "Halo Topology" circuit
- Halo Topology only active from XLR4 output (although the XLR4 is not a fully-balanced output on the Midgard)
- Up to 5W of output power from both 6.35mm and XLR4
- $219 - Est. mid-October release date

Not sure if the Midgard will be replacing the Magnius or not.

I lived in Winthrop Harbor (over 40 years ago now) which is just north of Zion. The biggest things I remember are our address was the same as a notable one on a popular TV show at the time (only reason I can remember it). We were at school and saw a plane go over that was on fire and it ended up crashing into a house a few doors down.
Thanks to those who responded.
Ms Jody and I have visited Zion a couple of times and will go back for more research. More sources - especially of early times and personal stories are most welcome.
Jody's grandfather was taken to have his club foot "healed" and her father was born in Zion when it was a strict religious community that taught that the earth was flat. It also had the most powerful radio transmitter in the world inj the 30s.

We are slowly gathering the material for the book (about number 3 down the line of 'waiting to be written' stories!

Cheers
