Hey! I've lived in all those Texas places! I've got my new guy cred handled, it seems.

Now that's a particularly unappealing visualization. I was going to have a BBQ sandwich for dinner tonight, but now, um, not. Think I'll go fry up some Spam instead. :smile:

Every place has these pronunciation tests: Boerne, Bexar, Nueces (amongst others) in Texas, Cahuenga, La Cienega, Sepulveda in California, etc. I think it's a way for the locals to easily detect the new folks.
Plenty of Spanish names. In my area and to the north there are French and Indian city names. Detroit (which is French for strait) was founded by Antoine Cadillac. Being from Illinois, outsiders add an S sound to the end at times, same with Iroquois.

A clarification (not a correction, no, no,no) of Uncle Mort's origins. I miss Tinniswood and Clarke's work (they are unknown here).
To be honest I’d totally forgotten about that TV series. Thanks for jogging the old memory.

Don't be in Delaware and say Newark, DE like Newark, NJ.

NewArk, Delaware and Newerk, NJ.
Plus Pennsylvania has all kids of great Indian names. I worked in Conshohocken, PA.

Houston/SoHo for New Yorkers.

Worcester for MA.

And I think OH adds a bunch - like Cairo (Kayro), Lima, Palestine

@Jason Stoddard

Thank you!

Wonderful news on the silver option for MJ3.

I emailed Schiit yesterday to try and order/preorder a silver cover for my MJ3. Laura replied today and advised that silver wouldn't be available until mid-november, and that I should check back.

Is there any chance of adding a pre-order option to the Schiit website, just for extra covers for MJ3 ?

That way folks like myself get their place in line for a silver cover, and you guys have a better idea on how many silver covers to produce?

My former father-in-law (R.I.P. Bob) was an electrical and chemical engineer. He said Velveeta is one atom short of being a polymer.
When my son was younger, we used to tell him to read the ingredients and if you can't pronounce it, don't eat it
