I honestly don't really know what a "multibit" DAC is or how it should sound better than the Modi+, but I am curious to read the comparisons. What do Schiit's multibit DACs usually have over the delta-sigma DACs?

They are less sharp or flat. Warmer and overall a pleasure to listen to.

Nah, most likely we'll be getting out of the cable biz, except uniques (shorties) and stuff we have to provide (Fulla, Hel come with USB A-C cables). Too much pain to try to cover all the variations.

That is with all other things being equal, there are some DS DAC’s that are amazing because of output circuitry IMHO.

I agree with the substance of your statement above as I also trust my own ears; however, the term "gaslight" is so over used to the point that many that use it (not you) are actually doing the thing they are calling out.

Much like a politician cries, "fake news", many of the people who don't remember things despite written or recorded proof cry "gaslight" far too often - sorry for the rant, but it's the 5th time I have read "gaslight" this week!

The design of a DAC is more encompassing than just the D to A engine and it's associated glue chips. The sound quality is highly dependent upon factors such as the post analog amplification circuitry, the clock management system, the power supply, and the digital filters. All have an impact on the overall sound.

Thanks for your wise input, I was in a hurry so I kept it simple. I was thinking about warmth and a tube output.
