Hats off for enduring a Darko video

I find him unwatchable
It was only a text post. Can't endure his videos. Same goes for most of the "reviewers".

I saw the latest Darko (paid) promotion post today and I was wondering.
How crowded are the oceans today? As every new audio gear release is presented as a new "Flagship".
I already knew there were a lot of flagships around in the smartphone world.
Now it's getting even more crowded with all these audio flagships.:beyersmile:
I don't know what qualifies as a flagship, but even in Sarasota, a small small city, we have what looks like a dozen dozen 50' boats.

I have no pony in this race at all, but wonder why you find him unwatchable. For me, he's just a guy on YouTube reviewing Schiit.....

Always liked the Bob James theme to the TV show Taxi.

I just watched a Netflix show with new episodes of Somebody Feed Phil based in Austin Texas, the bar-b-cue looked incredible with choices well above the pig parts @bcowen might know.🤪 Episode 3 of season 6.😎

I have watched a bunch of Zeos vids and found many entertaining but yeah, eventually he becomes too much.
His review of Gungnir MB almost made me buy one.
I may have an extra Gungnir in a few weeks but hard to say yet. First I would have to find something audibly better.

“Flagship” is meaningless marketingspeak. No reference baseline for quality, or even relative goodness. If everything a company makes cannot walk and chew bubblegum at the same time (so to speak), how flaggy is their flagship? (Or, in @ArmchairPhilosopher ‘s parlance - how big is their flagpole?)

While I'm waiting for my Unison USB board for my 2013-vintage Bifrost (the first run of black Schiit), I'll throw in a few soundtracks I haven't seen mentioned.

The Magnificent Seven - Elmer Bernstein
The Incredibles - Michael Giacchino
A Map of the World - Pat Metheny
West Side Story - Leonard Bernstein
That Thing You Do
Wicked
- Stephen Schwartz

Related to the topic... I listened to music to help me grieve when my mom passed away at 94 a couple of years ago. My wife was startled when I began playing the Wicked soundtrack because it begins with "No One Mourns the Wicked". But she quickly realized that I was playing it for the wonderful song near the end with the beautiful lyrics, "Because I knew you, I have been changed for good."

Music has the power to heal.

And for @Bonehead7171, there is so much music out there, it's not difficult to find something off the beaten path. I've been enjoying the latest release from The Beths: Expert in a Dying Field. I'm clueless when it comes to genres, but "power pop with a jazz aesthetic" seems to be a reasonable description.

To get things back on audio;

Me? I'm waiting for the AUTHORITATIVE CD/ DVD extended reissue with bonus tracks and alternate takes.

Thank you for giving me an excuse to repost this!

OK, that's pretty funny.

The new casework simply has to be easier to assemble than the old one:

In another week or so, my kitchen is getting torn down to the studs for a much-needed makeover.
Might be a good time to upgrade my Silver OG A2 to a Black Plus, since my main system will be swathed in plastic for the first two weeks of the project... :)

Is it really a make-over if there's nothing original left? I mean, my wife doesn't strip her face down to the studs, so-to-speak, when she gets ready in the morning.

My favorite pair of interconnects, dated though they are, would agree -- the positive conductor is a single 38 gauge (0.004") wire. Claimed to be pure gold, but as I'm not about to open it up to verify it could be made of Texas frog hair for all I know. 🤣
Same thing.

George of the Jungle

George, George
George of the Jungle
Strong as he can be
Ahh ahh ahhh
Watch out for that tree!

George, George
George of the Jungle
Lives a life that’s free
Ahh ahh ahhh
Watch out for that tree!

When he gets in a scrape
He makes his escape
With the help of his friend
An ape named Ape
Then away he’ll schlep
With his elephant Schep
While Fella and Ursula stay in step

With…
George, George
George of the Jungle
Friend to you and me
Ahh ahh ahhh
Watch out for that tree!

Watch out for that
Ahhh ahhh ahhh
Oooh! Tree!
George, George
George of the Jungle
Friend to you and me

Super Chicken

When you find yourself in danger
When you’re threatened by a stranger
When it looks like you will take a lickin’
Buck- buck- buck- buck
There is someone waiting
Who will hurry up and rescue you
Just c-a-a-a-a-l for Super Chicken
Buck-ah!

Fred, if you’re afraid you’ll just have to overlook it
Besides, you knew the job was dang-rous when you took it
Buck-ah!
He will drink his Super Sauce
And throw the bad guys for a loss
And he will bring them in alive and kickin’
Buck- buck- buck- buck

There is one thing you should learn
When there is no one else to turn to
Ca-a-a-a-l for Super Chicken
Buck- buck- buck- buck
Ca-a-a-a-l for Super Chicken
Buck-ah!

Tom Slick

Tom Slick, Tom Slick
Let-
Me tell you why
He’s-
The best of all the guys
Tom Slick, Tom Slick
In the Thunderbolt Grease Slapper
Once he’s on your tail
He won’t fail
Because you know there’s no such word a fail to
Tom Slick, Tom Slick
