Of course, as soon as I said this, Murphy mobilized his cosmic forces against us, so no announcement is gonna be made. Especially since it's Elvis' birthday tomorrow (our Elvis, not that Elvis), and I don't want to give everyone in Valencia double heart-attacks.

Which means next week is gonna be a heckuva week! Both before and during the Texas Audio Roundup.

This just popped up in my YouTube recommendations for whatever reason. Probably because I searched for alphorn videos the other day…
Anyway, I have a feeling that a small subset of you might appreciate it quite a bit.



The lyrics are … uhm … predictably just as on the nose as the video itself, so I'll refrain from translating them into English.
Let's just say that the protagonist feels a bit lonely and he wishes for a partner in life. He tells us that he's really not picky, as long as she's got really big … uhm … eyes.

I think they have been playing this for a number of years!

There are LOTS (of 10, 30, 60, etc) of the 8x power tube from Russia on ebay (sourced through Ukraine) for 5 bux a piece. The 2x driver tubes are around for a variety of prices starting close to 10 and going higher.

The power tubes seem scarce and expensive if you want tubes produced outside of Russia. Price gets pretty high considering the number of tubes.

The 6N6P was only made in Russia.
