Awww, man!! I've been waiting for a Texas-based hoopla, but alas the family and I will happily be in NC visiting my dad...

and avoiding running into @bcowen at all costs. :D

Looking forward to hearing about this one and attending future ones. And remember- pics/videos or it didn't happen!

Well if you're coming here, I'm going to Texas. Cross-pollution is only fair.

OK, you win.
The contest is still open, I have more adapters on the way. I just need to move some equipment around so I have more um, verticality.

Sometimes I miss playing with car audio. And then I remember what a pain in the back it is.

The stereo in our CR-V is ok. Bass is surprisingly good. I would love to upgrade all of it but they’re making these things more complicated these days.
Outboard DSP units have made getting decent sound, even still using the stock head unit, much easier. I wish auto makers would go back to having standard size DIN and double-DIN head units rather than these fully integrated monstrosities they put in the dash now. I changed the speakers (only) in my wife's Toyota one year. Made hardly any improvement at all because of all the trickery done in the head unit. Still sounded like ass.

…meanwhile, I'm like: "Isn't he just the cutest?!?" 🥰🥰🥰

Is that a cardboard cat bed?
It sure is! Nine glorious layers of corrugated goodness. Only the best for His Royal Furness, Mojito the Siberian, Benevolent Ruler of This-Here Realm.

It's the smaller version of what's crowning my pile of Schiit, the most expensive cat tree this side of the Mississippi:

Marshall Murphy apparently visited me to impose his law recently. I haven’t been listening to tubes on my Freya lately because it was making noise akin to a massive ship mast breaking in two and I couldn’t find the offending tube. I took another poke around today and found a keyway had broken off.
I know so little about this. Nothing looks broken in that picture to me.
