Looking at Aegir specs, it lists gain as "12 (22 DB)." Why the two numbers? How to interpret that? Other amps only seem to list one number for gain.
It can be connected using single ended inputs running as a 2ch amp, or connected using balanced (XLR) input as a monoblockLooking at Aegir specs, it lists gain as "12 (22 DB)." Why the two numbers? How to interpret that? Other amps only seem to list one number for gain.
Thanks - I wonder why the gain on a single Aegir wouldn't be the same as a pair of monoblock Aegirs? It can be connected using single ended inputs running as a 2ch amp, or connected using balanced (XLR) input as a monoblock

I just received my Lyr 3 and you might like to know that my Mimby appreciates the jump up from my Asgard 3.I agree with you about the Modi multibit. I've had a Bifrost 2 in my cart a few times but never go through with the purchase. The Modi multibit still makes me happy, I love it. I know the Bifrost 2 would be a big step up but the Modi multibit works for me. I'm a CD spinner and use it with an Audiolab 6000CDT transport and an Asgard 3 amp. I have a Modius and Modi 3+ if I get the delta sigma urge.
Now you've got my attention. I've had my Asgard 3 a long time. If you just got it then are you using a stock tube ? In your opinion it's worth the move to the Lyr 3? I know your Mimby does.I just received my Lyr 3 and you might like to know that my Mimby appreciates the jump up from my Asgard 3.

they are essentially the same parameter, one being a voltage gain in linear terms (e.g. Av = the ratio of output voltage / input voltage), the other one expressed in decibels (dB).Looking at Aegir specs, it lists gain as "12 (22 DB)." I don't know, 12cm is pretty popular wavelength, same as 2.78 to 3.41m.Don't get me started on colors. AudioGal is bi-tech-sual - she does lighting as well as audio. Wanna talk colors? Just a sec, I need to get my lighting gel swatch books.
BTW, my favorite colors all fall between 400 and 700 nanometers.
My brother seems to have issues with this outside Seattle - higher prices and empty shelves compared to here or even my parent's just north of Portland.Dood, calm down... If X is not available where you are, get Y. In the current supply chain chaos, be happy you can get food and drink.
12cm? 21cm is the wavelength of infrared emitted by neutral hydrogen which lots of radio astronomers use to study things too cold to observe with optical telescopes.I don't know, 12cm is pretty popular wavelength, same as 2.78 to 3.41m.
No, both of those version 2s just came out in the last couple years. I'd really like to see a Modius Multibit.Sooooo Bifrost 3 and Jotunheim 3 reveal soon?
Far as I know residential microwaves are about 12cm...12cm? 21cm is the wavelength of infrared emitted by neutral hydrogen which lots of radio astronomers use to study things too cold to observe with optical telescopes.
Yes pleaseNo, both of those version 2s just came out in the last couple years. I'd really like to see a Modius Multibit.
New show on NBC starring Morena starting on 2/21. The Endgame.me too, since Firefly
I will buy this so quickly if it's true lol.No, both of those version 2s just came out in the last couple years. I'd really like to see a Modius Multibit.
