Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

A roommate back in '74 just returned from Vietnam. School on the VA. He shipped back a system, Marantz if I remember correctly, with large lattice grill speakers. The speakers included an interior mod. Leafy green/brown sound absorbing material 👿

Proper sonic modifications were hard to come by here in the US back in the day. :smirk_cat:

I use a splitter to take my Yggdrasil to both my Freya S and Jotunheim, and that works well for me.

I don’t have any splitters on hand so before buying a set, I am running through the Freya S as suggested.

Seems to work well. Running Freya S in passive mode with volume knob all the way up and controlling HP volume with Rag 2.

I do something similar with my Freya+, with it's vol maxed then use Rag2 for volume. Its a little awkward because R2 can handle source switching as well, but I much prefer the R2 attenuator to Freya's personally.

Umm, Spice Girls? Milli Vanilli?

Wonder if Christopher Lloyd looks back on BB a career highlight. Or if it's more a case of any movie you got paid to make is a good one.

Milli Vanilli was the first concert I ever attended (11 years old). Ended up getting a portion of the cost of the tickets, t-shirt and a CD refunded as part of the class action lawsuit. I like to think my taste in music has improved slightly since then.

Hey, we all have musical skeletons in our closets.
(if you think I'm gonna tell you mine, think again...):skull:

And even though the performance was faked, the music was real. :)

Mine is in 1968 when I was 15 and chose to go see Paul Revere and the Raiders instead of Jimi Hendrix, so yea...

I guess you probably don’t. I could use SE for Freya and XLR for Rag2.

I’ve read that some believe Yggy balanced output performs better than SE, but I’ve never had a problem.
Perhaps a good time to try for yourself. You could become a Balanced Truther, or a Balanced Deny-er.

Aaah, "lettuce" grill speakers. Gotcha! ;p
I imagine the Dead never sounded better than through that system…
