So there are foil getters, horseshoe getters, D getters, square getters, O getters, UFO getters. and now bathtub getters? This is getting to be confusing.
I could not see the front of the holders but the backs are quite solid from appearances. They are not easy to photograph, because of the getter material right there.
Maybe a top view helps. There is number 10 stamped on them so that gets in the way as well but concentrate on the one on the left. It is like they are curved to match the shape of the glass.

It doesn't, but thanks anyway. 😂😂

"RFT stands for Rundfunk- und Fernmelde-Technik - a group of state-owned technology companies in the former German Democratic Republic (East Germany). This company produced valves for Telefunken and Siemens and made the famous Siemens EL34. These valves are of very good quality and have excellent consistency."
No it doesn't, it stands for Rich Field Telescope.

There are top getter holders on RFT 6sn7's I have, they have the look of elongated cups, mini bath tubs if you will.

I was not kidding about Finnegan going after chronographs, I was checking out the lumes on a few of them last night and just laid them across my watch case late last night. I found the one above on the other side of the room. He goes after metal or leather bands equally well. :L3000: Before I got the RFT back in the box this morning Finnegan was already there ready to play with it.
I've been meaning to ask: can one or more of you watch aficionados (aficionadi?) could make a recommendation of a source for a new leather strap for my daily driver watch. Nothing too fancy, it will be used every day and sweat through during the spring, summer and fall months of east TX (you know, from New Year through Thanksgiving). You'll be shocked my general searches for "watch band" or "watch strap" have returned Amazon.com 99% of the time.

Not official Sine Wave stuff, so a PM would be appreciated.

Now that is a URL...

Out of curiosity, anyone running a Lokius between their preamp and amp? Was thinking I might like to place it between my DAC+ and Amp+ (Mytek) and wanted to see if anyone had experience.
If you only want to apply equalization to your DAC's output, then go DAC -> Lokius -> preamp -> amp.
If you want to be able to apply equalization to all your sources, then: sources -> preamp -> amp.

Question for the tube aficionados - is a tube with oxidized pins any good? Can I just clean them off or is it a sign of other problems as well?
Perfectly good. Clean it up with some Gold Deoxit and send it.

Isn't Gold Deoxit a protector for gold plated connectors and Red DeOxit a cleaner?

It is geared more towards light cleaning and lubing for good contact. I've used it on several connectors as a two in one that had light issues without a problem and it worked great. The product description says it's for all 'precious metals'. Gold, silver, rhodium, copper, bronze, nickel, etc. Also in the description is that it will "dissolve small amounts of oxidation". I think the red is for more... serious cleaning.

It all depends on how oxidized the tube pins are of course, but most would fall into the 'serious cleaning' category. I normally use the (red) D5 sprayed onto a folded-over pipe cleaner, apply liberally to the pins, wait 5 minutes, and apply again while using the pipe cleaner to scrub off what's already dissolved and/or loosened up. I follow that with isopropyl alcohol to remove any further loosened stuff and the remaining D5.
