Being raised by cats explains a lot. I suspect there are others on this forum with similar hidden backgrounds.

I think that with Yggy OG, @Baldr managed to come incredibly close to Paul's ideal. This DAC isn't adding to the sound, and it's not trying to remove something or to fix anything, either.
It simply delivers you your recordings, with as little drama as is physically possible.
It just gets out of your way.
And that, ladies and gents, is probably the highest compliment I can give to a piece of audio equipment.
AWESOME!

I could not agree with this!!!

With gear at this level of "quality" that just gets out of the way and does what it was designed to do....it then gets back to the source material....IMO
So much crappy recorded material out here...I often just go thru songs until I find those that are really well done....I dont try to see if a piece of gear will
"fix" the unfix-able....

I listened to 77.78492394% of this and not a single mention of VU Meters...Just sayin'. "SIGH"...Dammit!

You have much much more patience than me. I listened for one minute, skipped a few times and dropped it completely.

Never gonna give up the dream of Schiit made VU meters, eh?

Believe the man himself posted a short while back and said VU meters weren't going to happen. Same with the optical card.

LRSs are quite nice for watching TV and Movies. The vocal accuracy and speed of the dialog is excellent. If I ever put together a HT setup it will consist of 4 LRSs and rythmik subs

Yeah, I hear you, but Jason just seems to have certain "blind spots" or perhaps "phobias" or just foibles when it comes to certain features. My white whale (or unholy grail) is a balance control. Highly useful, fairly often requested, but apparently off the table. We'll just have to accept that, while God (or Jason) does answer all prayers, sometimes the answer is "No."
