Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

As someone that has more Schiit than needed...

I thought my post was not running them down. I thought the whole thing was amusing.

I know they'll take care of me. I did email them before my post here

I check the current deals, everyday, multiple times a day. Nearly everything I have was B stock or close out--I have a B stock silver SYS NIB--because why not

Someone stop me before I buy the silver Modius on the current deals page. I need it to match my silver Freya S...argh

Must not buy, wallet is screaming

The Modius IS nice...! :relaxed:

Someone sent me this yesterday.... covers this type of thing very well, math in this instance. Stay to the end!

Beautiful... I am going to see if I can send this to friends and family, some of whom think and others that only feel.
Like I said, there are some in the world who would take away your right to say what you think because it goes against what they feel.
The end of this short film was superb-a-mundo!

As were most of the musicians back then. Why the music was so good :)
Ummm..."Inagodadavida"? LOL! Sorry, I did not want to resist. That title, that lyric, that eternal drum solo is enough to make me think that any creative properties that hallucinogenic drugs might have were the by-product of the hallucinogenic properties of hallucinogenic drugs. Or some thing to that effect. :L3000:

I will be in time-out now. LOL!

black Freya + In Stock, they are catching up

Is that a price bump, $949
Yeah looks like $949 with tubes and $849 without. They mentioned on the recent live stream getting tubes has been difficult and a price bump might be required.

They are refunding the mistake (as expected). Now I should buy the silver Modius with the refunded money, right?

too late, I bought it

I drank wine with a real expert once. ... He told me "this is the only $70 per bottle wine that is worth drinking."
Did he mean that anything more or less expensive wasn't even worth considering? (Suspect the latter...)

The photo of the black Freya+ is gorgeous. I already have a silver Freya+ though so I'm holding out for a black Freya S. Crossing fingers it happens soon.

I'm the kind of guy who will, apropos of nothing, just start sitting around and thinking about the philosophy of audio. So I was doing that, and I got to thinking about something about this subjectivist/objectivist divide that seems unclear to me: isn't subjectivism anathema to the concept of "fidelity"--i.e., accurate reproduction of source material?

I mean, that's not necessarily bad, at least from my perspective. I listen to music for my own enjoyment, and I owe nothing to the estate of Miles Davis, or to Yo Yo Ma, or to any record company.

But a lot of people in this game take the notion of fidelity more seriously than I do, and so I'm wondering whether they all adopt the objectivist position, or whether some maintain that they are subjectivists who are being faithful in a different way than just preferring the gear that makes the output match the input the closest?

Simple minded fool that I am, I see the objectivist trope as dancing all around what's looked for, while subjectivism dives head first into what's found, so there really aren't many purists.

The brain is a filter. Everything we perceive is subjective.

EDIT: update, Modi 2U in a SYS box dropped at FedEx and refund issued--ALREADY. Schiit's the crap
