There are a number of articles published (read e.g. Philip Bump) about statistical techniques that can identify some (but not all) problems.I agree that the problem is greatly overstated. But in the example above, what tools do we have in place to stop it from happening. I’m guessing the only thing would be if the real person showed up to vote and an imposter had already done so??? Interested in hearing your thoughts.
