Can we talk fried chicken, or pizza styles for once? Chinese or other Asian cuisine? The (constant) BBQ wars are as bad as the loudness wars, and worse than Abba.

Pizza? Should be thin crust, deep dish is a pie.

Anyone else really appreciating the magic of Tom Brady right now?

It is certainly nice to finally put to rest if it was Belichick or Brady, although I am sure many are going to say this season shouldn't count in that debate. Personally I support NE due to hometown ties only (as much as you can call it support when you don't watch games until the later rounds of the playoffs, don't check the score at least 8 games out of 16, can't name who they are playing on any given week, and owns a whole whopping 1 article of branded clothing).

Its cold as H E double hockey sticks here..-40 with the wind chill...

One of the things I don't miss about the Great Lakes region, it seems to bottom out just below freezing here - lots of 45-65F/7.2-18.3C weather in December, January. I am sure I am going to miss the Great Lakes weather come July and August.

Priceless.

SOH CAH TOA?

From a music standpoint - finally got my speakers on order (based on lead time they are truly slammed like so many others appear to be) so later this year I should have a set of Ohm Walsh Talls 1000 size to integrate into my system. Plenty of time too to convert my PiHole to a Roon/LMS/LMNOPQ endpoint to drive the system as I didn't notice a difference beyond what Adblock already did for me.

Ive been seeking out allocated and expensive (to me) bourbons.. I currently have 35+ different varieties scotch/bourbon/rye/canadian whisky in house.

Eijah Craig Barrel Proof (12 yr) is very tasty. But so is cheap assed Evan Williams, white or black label (4yr). Good time to be a whisky drinker.

35+ varieties? Let's all visit @Rensek for a listening & tasting party! :smile_cat:

Seriously though, thanks for the reviews and for adding to the data bank on corn liquor.

PS- Real pizza comes from New York. /end discussion

Oh°. I can't speak to football either. Currently, my football team doesn't even have an official name.

@Rensek – You’ve got a lot going on but have a great attitude! Good to hear you are enjoying the LRS pair. We’ve sure been enjoying ours also, driven by the Vidar/Freya set. My wife and I just recently completed a 3-month project of our music lounge and my office over the garage. The room is 30 years old and it’s the first time it has been repainted and recarpeted. We painted all of the doors, installed new window and baseboard trim. New outlets, and LED can-lights. I ripped out the window seat and installed a built-in cabinet for LPs and CDs. It takes a long time when each finish coat of paint takes 16 hours to dry! The project helped us ignore aspects of these trying times while listening to music and podcasts throughout. Went through a bit of Elijah Craig and Woodford Reserve during the process…

Shown here is some of the fruits of our efforts. Have a great weekend!

Oooo very nice! Staying busy sure helps.

I see you bought aftermarket stands for the Maggies. Do they make an improvement? If so, please talk about the improvements you hear.

@Rensek yes. I had determined I liked the LRSs to be vertical and had read a couple of stand reviews after I got the pair. I ended up going with Magna Risers, the Airborne model for the LRS. They also raise them off of the floor 3-1/2 inches which helps with base response. Rob of Magna Riser is a great person to deal with too! The also make it easier to move around and are more stable too. Soundstage is amazing. I kept the tweeter ribbons to the outside. Cheers
