For everyone who participated in the "sub-thread" discussing Mechel Ndegeocello, Samantha Fish, Tal Wilkenfeld and Jeff Beck:

Thank you so much for this lead:

This might be the coolest thing I've heard in the past eighteen months. Oh my goodness, Jeff Beck can play guitar (that really isn't news to me). Did I see Robert Plant in the audience? I really hope he comes through again. Yes, I know he's seventy-six years old, but Neal Peart has died so I'll never get to see Rush again. Not seeing Jeff Beck again would simply be too much.

I've also listened to some Mechel Ndegeocello. She has a pretty voice. Some of her songs have a good groove, but many of them got boring (to me) quickly. Off to listen to some Samantha Fish now.

I always considered that as more of a guideline. :)
I hardly even notice them anymore, as I haul out my electric screwdriver…

DAC out to Asgard in? It can be those little things when we're excited!
I've done that (mixed up the RCA in/outputs). I've lost audio whenever I monkey around with Foobar2000, VLC, and/or Clementine's output settings. My vote: go to Player... preferences... output (on VLC-Linux, it's labelled as output module). Try different settings. On my Win10 computer, I've lost audio whenever I forgot to disable non-Schiit output devices in the system tray. Computer audio -- I understand users who go analogue (sometimes). Keep at it, @blackdragon87 :flag_ca: :smile_phones:

{{edit = and it's been figured out. Nice.}}

Rag 2, just an amp for 1299..... Shut up and just take my money, all my money. Seriously.

I saw an OG Ragnarok on b stock today for 799. Thank God someone caved and pulled the trigger on this before I did.

If more show up I likely won't be able to resist.

This made me chuckle, as I just bought a B stock Rag 2 the other night. If you need a used Rag 1 and no B stocks are available, keep an eye on the classified section!

…The real trick is getting it all back together AND have it still work…

It is a fantastic concert. You did see Robert Plant, and if you watch it again you'll see Jimmy Page, too. If you're going to listen to Samantha Fish, I'd recommend you start with "Chills And Fever." Vocally this is, IMHO, her best album. Enjoy!

More exploration and enjoyment with Bifrost 2 tonight.

So far, I really think that if you're on the fence, you should bite the bullet. I know you can buy a lot of things in life for 700 bucks. No question.

I've learned over the last couple weeks how big a difference DACs can make. Lyr 3 and Jot are both very good amps with any DAC. With the right one, though, both amps can absolutely fly. Modi Multibit will play well with either one, Lyr 3 in particular. Modius will go into space with the Jot. I couldn't believe that one! Insane clarity, explosive energy, and crazy resolution. I think I will keep the Modius as the rocket booster for the Jotunheim.

Bifrost 2. Only my second night with it and I think this could be the one. The resolution, musicality, air, just the realism of it is something special. Listening to Prima Donna by Chevelle right now. Just a 320 MP3 and it's beautiful.

Oh yeah, with Jot and 650s. :D

AKG K7XX out of the Lyr 3. Closure by Chevelle, Apple Lossless. I don't know if this headphone has ever sounded this good. I think the K7XX is one of the most underrated headphones there are. The scalability is just nuts. You can plug it into a Fulla 2 and it will sound good. Or all the way to a freaking Bifrost 2 and Lyr 3 and it will climb with the gear basically.

Enjoy the new Bifrost man, I'm like a kid in a candy store whenever I get a shiny new piece of schiit.

Those performances at Ronnie Scott's must have been the gigs of the decade!
Brilliant musicianship from the whole band.
Have a look for the bit near the end where EC joins Jeff on stage. It is hilarious.
All being well, I'll be seeing Jeff at The Royal Albert Hall next May.

Does anyone use Bifrost 2 with a balanced mixer? If so, what does your cabling look like?

You guys should really post your Bifrost 2 impressions and questions over in that thread.
They’ll get lost over here

Yep. At least based on images on Schiit site, they are silk-screened on the back of modular amps. Likely just a general liability 'catch-all'.
