I knew it! I said it just last week that a new Modi must be on the way. I held off buying a new DAC for ages just for this, and I was about to cave and buy the Modi 3.

The Modius looks like everything I was hoping for.

Just er... we kinda need some Schiit stock in the UK. Actually Jason, any word on when this may happen? Schiit.co.uk (Electomod) is currently out of stock on virtually everything.

I like this Schiit Modius. Now we need single ended version of this (Modi 4) at $99 and THX killer balanced Asgard 4. I want Modius + Asgard 4 endgame balanced dac+amp stack. Oh also fix your shipping and availability outside of USA.

You'll likely never see a THX certified product from Schiit. Search @Baldr (MIke Moffat)'s thread and you'll see how they feel about THX.

Hint: They see it as a money-making licensing scheme adding very little to no value. About on par to their thoughts on MQA.

As a former THX employee I must say I agree with Mike. It didn't start out that way, but that is what it became.

I read the review, but the amount of arrogance in that thread made me stop reading by about page 2 or 3.

This is what I am talking about. Also, Schiit needs to find some company in Indonesia or Asia to make some balanced cables cheaply, cause every time I try to find a balanced cable for my HD58X its like $40-50 for the cheapest one... it's insane. That is almost half the cost of the headphones... no...
