Not if it was a single channel amp. I'm not talking about monoblock "mode". I'm talking about monoblock. Period.
100%. I would like a true mono amp and have it be able to be stable at 4 and 2 ohm. While yeah the price might be higher it’s still going to be far less than other contenders and would be happy to pay up for something that really could drive anything thrown at it.

Who makes 2 ohm speakers?

Never said would have to run a 2 ohm speaker but be stable. There are some speakers such as apogee that were notorious for being difficult to drive and could swing down to 0.25ohms. Martin Logan also has some that can be a difficult load and there are others as well.

My point is that I want something that regardless of what speaker I put on the end of it the amp can drive it without a problem. I’ve had Soundlabs, ML, etc so really always had to be more careful on amp pairings.

For anyone interested, here's an interview with Steve Wilson, who has done some very nice remixes of classic albums.

It's mainly Prog Rock- so may not appeal to die-hard ZZ Top fans!

This one is great:

You're right there, Varejao 17!
I listened to it last night.
Topographic Oceans, in particular, is much better than the first CD issue, and also better than than the original vinyl, which I bought when it came out in 1973.
Steve Wilson himself said he is particularly pleased with that album, but all five are really good, and happen to be my favourite Yes albums..
