will you kindly let me know what kind of vacuum tubes are those are, I assume not 6SN7s, and their purpose as they appear to include a very high voltage ceramic insulator within the tube rather than the more normal small ceramic insulators or mica plates?

if its being used for what I think it is, definitely not a DIY project for tyros. will need to a specific type of transducers for this application, with proper RF shielding given the high bandwidth of the device.

Yeah...the volume knob thing was funny!

Eventually, I decided to pack it in on OTL amps -- sold the Valhalla 2 and replaced it with an Asgard 3. Just don't like the 4 tube thing (sorry @bcowen !). I did however get a hybrid amp as well to allow for some tubey goodness when I feel like it

Get a set of Socket savers for front and back tubes. You'll be amazed at how much cooler it runs by lifting those hot tubes up a bit. Made a huge difference in my case.

I'm not with the 4 tube thing either. Much better to go with 6. Per channel.
