Just finished servicing and replacing parts on our Rocket Apartamento espresso machine and now that it’s all put back together, I’m looking around for something else to do; happy to become a Sol beta tester (even though i hadn’t bought one ). We need this item to succeed!

You left out the final piece of information. Does it still work? :stuck_out_tongue::smile:

What tube(s) do you use in it?

Don't mean to speak for @renault4 , but I'm pretty sure that model uses a pair of these:

Must be so, Rocket Apartamento must be fast and large. I wonder which coffee sorts match well with these tubes. Kopi luwak comes to mind, would be appropriate for this thread!

I use this one for my cheap ACS Ventus brewer:

Ok, you made me go look that up:

Now I have to find out what an Asian palm civet is, 'cause otherwise the defecation part has me pretty grossed out.

Kopi Luwak will always equal animal brutality and abuse.
Yeah, and also its quality is overstated. It is good coffee, sure, but today's kopi luwak is animals in cages, eating and schitting coffee beans.

There is vastly better coffee out there, you're missing out if you don't try it at least once in a while! I'm not into espresso, because I'm not rich enough, but to me the roasting, then brewing process with V60 is nothing short of therapeutic. And if you can roast green yourself, a whole new world awaits. Coffee can be crazy diverse, and roasted to bring lots of things out.

Words from Conrad Hoffman himself, from another forum.
I should have a table here shortly to see what's going on, but my guess is we'll change the head shell design a bit. Part of the problem is the wire clips seem rather long in the photos; I used shorter clips in the prototype. Anyway, that will be sorted one way or other. I wanted to comment on the anti-skate a bit. I haven't seen the current parts, but the theory is the anti-skate rope should pull on the arm rod at the same height as the pivot point. That's why the arm rod is vertical, so you can move the rope. If the attachment point is higher or lower than the pivot point (OK, technically a plane that passes through the stylus too) it will make the arm rock. Tie the rope to the rod at the height of the pivot and use a small drop of something to hold it there. Just a small drop of any adhesive to keep it in place, but not anything permanent. Nail lacquer, shellac or white glue. The wire loop that the rope hangs over should be at a similar height. I haven't seen it, but there are a variety of tweaks that can be made to make that happen. Properly set up, the anti-skate works well and I'd never do without it. Hint- if you put your finger under the weight and gently bounce it, the arm shouldn't rock; then you know you've got it right. More to follow when I see what the production unit looks like!

I have found this bit of wisdom rather insightful.
"It is no where near as important when things go sideways, as what happens next to resolve the situation."
