Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

I have had the Modi Multibit for two years now and have enjoyed it. Moreso now that my digital collection is growing and I have a CD player to feed it as well as the raspberry pi. The Bifrost 2 does seem like a tempting upgrade, but then I fear I will start to go down the balanced route which means more upgrades... of course all of this in inevitable, but I would like to wait a bit first. Great looking new products though.

Hi Jason, great news on the Bifrost 2.

As someone who placed an order on the original Bifrost Multibit which was on backordered until 8/31, does this mean I'll still receive the original BM or will the order be cancelled?

I have no schitt, but enjoy the community. I also am at end game and care less for buy this or that. BUT, id love it if chord could upgrade chips/motherboards/ power. Im not sure if this disadvantages improvements in design that has to conform to old chassis etc...if new advances better fine. But my observation upgrades are a blessing to the consumer. Or its sell buy sell buy..... or just chill and don't buy.....id keep upgrades but that's just me...

Amy (or someone in orders/shipping) will be contacting you with options.

How do we get the $100 off? Is it just refunded after the fact?

From the FAQ:
How do I get this $100 off?
Put a note on your order with proof of purchase of a Bifrost or Bifrost upgrade (like an order number). If necessary, we'll contact you to verify this.

It's covered in the FAQ on Bifrost 2--add a note to your order with previous order number or other proof of purchase.

Looks like I'm buying something SOON from you guys. Of course I am. Dammit, Schiit. You know how to part our wallets like a modern day Moses.

I love how you guys don't sit still and continue to innovate. It's really neat how you've made the new Bifrost "field up gradable" I also think it's cool how you look out for past customers and their investments especially on products like Yggdrasil. Involves a little tightrope walking at times it seems. But really neat. I like the idea of all products being easily upgraded at home with no fuss, so it will be interesting to see if, eventually, you go full on in that direction with all of your products. Good times.

Anyone got a good recommendation for a full manual lever operated espresso machine without breaking the bank? I know I may be grasping at straws here, but worth a shot (pun intended)

We try.

Like I said in the chapter, we're going to be doing everything we can to preserve people's investment in the higher-end DACs, especially Yggdrasil. Unfortunately, we're not perfect. Gungnir will need a firmware change for Unison USB when it comes out in January, which means it needs to come back to the mothership. This will hopefully be the last of the old-style, painful upgrades. Argh. Sorry about that.

Bifrost and Yggdrasil won't need to come back to us for Unison USB.
