Of course it would, assuming you can build the proper adapter. The real question is would it fry them?

I already have an adapter and I am quite sure that it could fry them. lol...

It was a poor attempt at humor...

I just got my shipping confirmation from Schiit for my Gumby and Mjolnir 2 to host my recently purchased un-modded HD800s. Some might suspect I'm a generation behind with the 800s but I'm still fascinated with so much about them. Bimby and Valhalla 2 will move to my desk with the HD600s....

Thanks Schiit. Thanks HeadFi community.

What a way to start a long weekend. Couldn't decide which to open first so I'm taking careful and simultaneous steps. HeHeHe

Yep, stretch out the foreplay. Even Schiit's packaging is aesthetically pleasing. Have fun!

As was my reply. :)

Which is more worthy of a man, failing to even attempt eliciting a smile or trying and failing but in the attempt making a friend?

Common ground is any thing but common these days. I would say you two have found that and more.

Jason,

Other than being able to use balanced XLR interconnects, what would be the advantages to running two Vidars in monoblock mode versus a single Vidar in stereo mode? The way you have designed Vidar, I understand that it is essentially dual mono back to the transformer. I am guessing this should negate some of the advantages of running two separate monoblock amps.

Thanks!

I can name that tune in two syllables: head room.

Thanks for the info Jason about Balanced and Single ended. i have a Freya, so i guess i`ll start with one Vidar to drive my Vandersteen 2ce Signatures, should be plenty of juice form me.

i know i said this a few post ago, but i am going back to my original plan and get Two Vida's to run them vertical Bi-amp on my Vandersteen, i run Two Emotiva XPA-2 on them now.

Well, that goes without saying. Let's assume for a moment that one Vidar has more than enough power to provide the necessary head room with the speakers I will be using.
