Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

You know, I spoke too soon, I actually like the Magni+ Heretic really well with my DT-880 600ohm. I boost the lows slightly with my Loki Mini+ just to give it a bit more foundation and then it's damn near perfect for my listening tastes. Also... Uh... Ok, hear me out, ever think of using a Magni+ Heretic as a preamp into a Magni+? You're gonna laugh and I'm gonna deserve it but it sounds good  Now that really IS heretical!I

I tried this before with Heresy as pre and feed to Magni+ to adjust the input level, that was fun.

No, not necessarily to either of those. Double casking refers to a primary maturation followed usually by a shorter finishing in a different kind of cask to pull out different flavor characteristics. This doesn't have to equate to more expense though it does add work to the blender's process.
nice to have expert commentary on the varied topics on this thread.

Strangely though, haven’t seen any posts from cats or dogs directly. trouble typing on tiny phone keyboards maybe???

A single combining remote !??

I actually like the separate individual remotes**

"They" do make dual mono preamps. 3-chassis preamps make my eyes bug out....

(edit) also, signal isolation. I haven't seen a DAC that takes one digital signal then splits it into R/L for dual mono D/A. Does such a thing exist?

Isn't that what, yggy, Gungnir, Bifrost do?

Yggy OG and Gumby have 4 Dac chips.

2 per channel, 1 for each phase....

Isn't that what you are talking about in your post? Or am I missing something? (Likely me missing something).

But what about remote signal isolation? Genuine nervosa would be underserved without worrying about that.
Exactly. What if you cross the streams?!

Does any one here use something like this to switch off/on any of their Schiit gear? https://www.amazon.com/HAPYTHDA-Swi...f11-a0ae-1af0200d64e4&pd_rd_i=B0C6PPPGLP&th=1
I use a Furman AC filtering unit. I use it due to its quality surge suppressors. I do not use its main switch to switch on/off the whole system. I use that switch only if there’s a power failure to quickly isolate the system from the power restart. All components are on 24/7 except when I travel. When I power down/up I do it one component at a time.

I’ve been living with this combo for about a week and I have to say it sounds pretty darn good! At least for movies, shows and video games. I haven’t gotten around to music listening except for within the previously mentioned.
I’m driving 2-way tower speakers and I’m a little blown away by how well Gjallerhorn is performing. Bravo Schiit!
