Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

None. They all suck in one way or another.
But since I still need to use 'em…
…a HP 935 Creator Wireless Mouse for my main PC (not even close to Logitech's build quality, but at least the software doesn't entirely suck)
…an Apple Magic Mouse for my main Mac (second-worst product Apple has released in decades, but still better than the alternatives, sadly)
…built-in touch pads for the notebooks
…a Wacom Intuos Pro L whenever I need to do graphics stuff
I have two Logitech MX Master 3 mice; one for my desktop and one for my travel bag. They are nicely ergonomic, solid, reliable and even work with Bluetooth so that you don't need the Logi USB dongle. Oh and my Logitech Brio webcam, which is great. Oh, and my G-413 Carbon wired keyboard. These three Logi-things are goodness IMHO.

I do feel the same as you do about a lot of other Logitech stuff I've owned over the years, that Harmony remote died a horrible death at my hand. It felt good to watch it melt...

Just wanted to share. I was reading all the discussions on this thread about the pros and cons of various mice ( I didn't weigh in). A lot of specific discussion about Logitech. The next day I had an email from Logitech inviting me to view their fine selection of mice........ Coincidence?? Gibbs rule #39????

…Hmm, a good amplifier heat-sink coolant 🤔.

Fun fact:
I keep my Mjolnir 3 submerged in a tub of five gallons of this stuff:

Schiit Audio has their ‘private label’ version: but it has 10.5% Mjolnircaine. 😫 —> ☺️

Based on the likes I am receiving from @dstrimbu, he has almost caught up on this thread. Y’all need to post more or he’ll soon run out of new stuff to read! 😳
Good call, man - you caught me. :eyes:

I was in Ghent, BE at our corporate HQ from 04-21 October... and when I got home, I logged back in found myself nearly 100 pages behind. But I love a good challenge, so I am now caught up.

Get posting, people!!!

Neither. This must have been made post-war but before 1973 when a court ruled that the label "Made in Germany" can legally be used by both, West Germany and the GDR. After that ruling, products out of West Germany would have usually been labeled with "Made in W. Germany" to differentiate them from products made in the GDR, which most West Germans of course deemed superior in quality to that East German communist centrally planned socialist economy stuff. I mean, c'mon! If you can't even buy a banana, how can you make proper slide rulers, right?! 🙄

Well, there you go. '66 checks out.

Not that beefy, actually. Just your normal mid-tier 4-pin XLR connector that Hart Audio Cables uses for their modular headphone cable system. It's just shot from really close, makes it look chunkier than it is.
But then again; I tend to use the same excuse for selfies, and people don't believe me then, either… 😒

Marine diesel. The thiccc and heavy stuff. Yes, three 'c,' it's that viscous.
That's not deisel , that's FFO!

Oh, and while I was out messing around in Belgium...

...strolling through airports and (occasionally) walking the 2.4k from Sint-Baafsplein to our offices near Ledeberg, I spent a lot of time listening to Qobuz, via my iPhone 15 Pro Max with Bowers & Wilkins PI7 earbuds. In general, things sounded really, really great and I generally arrived at my destination(s) smiling and ready for the day.

Good music, well-reproduced, will do that for me. I was often gob-smacked, realizing how good this portable, wireless rig could (and did) sound.

Anyway, long story short... I had several playlists that I had off-lined ("Imported" in Qobuz parlance) via wifi, in the highest resolution possible, and I listened to them a lot over those 2 1/2 weeks. I was generally amazed at the sound reproduction that I heard, the clarity, the "PRaT". By the end of the trip, I thought... "Hmmm, maybe I should think about downsizing my rig" - I mean, schiit - the portable setup sounded fantastic. Why is all of this gear cluttering my living room?

I got home, powered up the system, threw the contents of my suitcase into the washer, grabbed a quick shower, and then a beer. Sat down, cued up the playlist that I'd heard the most during the trip, and put on the HD820s, driven by MJ3.

The first note hit... OMG. Not downsizing, no way. Going to invest, actually, in a room analysis and a new Yggy MIB. :)

I love this Schiit. Missed you guys, too. <g>
