Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
Aug 20, 2023 at 1:28 PM Post #124,216 of 151,707
FYI @XERO1 has created a Mjolnir 3 Impressions thread. Please share new impressions there so they’re easier to find.
I understand, but personally I rather just come here as my main one stop shop for all things Schiit.

I don't find it convenient to have to be on four threads just for Schiit. Seems unnecessary.

Here’s some from a cardboard boat regatta near me.

I had that happen on a piece of silver gear before I went over the Dark Side. Windex and elbow grease worked. I should have noted earlier : I do have spacers between the Loki Max and Urd. Nothing fancy, just something to get a little extra breathing room between them.
Yeh space is always a good idea between stacked gear
I have since used my SVS subwoofer isolation feet and it took my Freya to another level

On the Schiit website, it's "Do as I say, not as I do" for both Loki Max and Urd.

I wonder how they get all that Schiit to work without plugging it in? :smirk_cat:

Kramer makes a 4x1 XLR switch.
I think many would be interested in Schiit Audio take on switches. Both for value and convenience

And there is precedent.

Add enough inputs, and Schiit could move directly to the Sys 5 for RCA and Sys 5+ for XLR.

Maybe not glamorous & great fun from the engineering/design p.o.v., but fits a need.

Lets be real here ... the only reason I have an interconnect issue with so many amps is because I have so many SCHIIT amps. (From left to right, Folkvangr, Lyr3, Jot2, Magni3, plus a Stax amp.)

Jason: you caused this problem, you have an obligation to mitigate it.

Only four!?! 🤣

Maybe I'm doing this all wrong ... for me its like this:
- Main thread is for Jason-isms, cats, cardboard, bbq, (... insert Schiit Sine) and catching up with the shenanigans of like minded Schiitizens and audio brethren
- The other dozen+ watched Schiit threads are for deeper dives into the specific pieces of gear I have (or had) on rotation

On the topic of Saga and possibly weird decisions, I have a thought: balanced output, but no balanced input. So that it can run Schiit monoblocks and long interconnects. On the input side, the need for balanced is much less. Makes sense to me, but might confuse other people.
Or, just spitballing here, isn't there a way to turn 2 RCA into 1 XLR? Allow for that?

The product specific threads are handy for more direct and immediate help/troubleshooting/opinionating, fer shure.

This thread is just Callahan's Crosstime Saloon IRL, even down to the whiskey references!

That's true. OTOH, Jason has often said that they have no intention of meeting every need for every one.
