The latter, mostly, but I also felt that since they were designed to operate in a closed space - firing into my ear canal - they should have some backing resistance to play into during break-in, maybe to prevent over-excursion.Oh, cool! Does rubberbanding them around the foam help the break-in process or was it just to prevent having to hear them in the room?
Keep it up, I think you might be pretty surprised in a couple of days!I ran mine overnight and they're definitely sounding better. Going to keep going a while longer. Interestingly mine sounded incredibly dark and muddy out of the box, but have opened up a bit now.
