Me too. I have a Merkur, but don't remember the model. Tried Astra, but didn't like them. Tried Feather, thought them amazingly sharp but not smooth or "stable" and got lots of nicks from them. I'm sure practice would have helped, but I settled on Gillette 7 O'clock and didn't have to. I've tried lots of artisan soaps, but my next puck will be a basic glycerin again. For me, Fine Acoutraments splashes have my favorite fragrances, just the right level of bite, and don't leave my skin oily.
Worth also trying Shark blades, you might prefer them. Blades are a personal thing, the angle of their edge differs from one product to another. Some people suit one or another.

In the long term, wet shaving is a big money saver, particularly when it comes to blades.

Also, assuming most on here want to support specialist companies in the USA, I recommend www.shavenation.com as a supplier.

The Man From U.N.C.L.E. is a frigging smart and funny movie with a fantastic soundtrack. Easily a top 5 movie in the Biv household.
Seriously, if you haven't seen it, go buy the BluRay/DVD and make it part of your permanent collection. It's that good.
Did I mention that I like it?
Qobuz via Roon has most of this (*) ... I.T...I.S...G.R.E.A.T.

Thanks very much for the recommendation.

(* 7 of 28 tracks show as "unavailable." I don't know why. Hadn't seen that often enough before to research it.)

On a side note, how many phone numbers can you Schittizens remember?

I think maybe I can do 10... I used to know at least 50 before smartphones.

No joke, I had to call my work phone to give someone the number.
Yup. I hear you. I used to be great with numbers, but got lazy with an always avail directory of family, friends etc. So now it's just the real important ones - my wife's! hahaha

And what about driving? It seems everyone is stuck to their GPS now, and follow along blindly - even if they have been somewhere before. I still avoid GPS use, and learn a route before I go using maps (yes, online maps as that's easily avail). I take pride in my sense of direction & my non-use of GPS.

We have several friends who have visited us mulitple times before (we are two hours drive from Melbourne) and they use the GPS and can't find the place without assists.

There must be a DRAGON in norse mythology.
I love the name of and the story behind Fenrir, and I am eagerly awaiting what Schiit-made monster will eventually bear that name.

Just make sure to always keep at least an arm’s length between whatever that future Fenrir device could be and your Tyrs.

I am the exact opposite. I often use navigation when going places I know EXACTLY how to get to, especially if traffic is on the heavier side or it's road construction season. Waze is awesome about guiding you around it. Also gives you a great estimate of arrival time.

For example, driving to my parents' house, roughly an hour away. If it's a random Saturday morning I'll just get in and go. Heading down there Wednesday afternoon before Thanksgiving? Waze before I even walk out the door.

I drove around (mostly former East) Germany for 23 years using only an Aral map book. In later years, GPS was of course available, but we thought it was too easy - like cheating. Using maps and getting lost a couple times along the way made arriving much more satisfying. How do you get from Leipzig to Aschersleben when the Bundesstraße through Halle is closed? Thru the farming communities, of course. :)
