Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

I would pre-order a pair, 50% down, right now. You guys all know that they would be great. #investment
They would have to sound substantially better than a pair of Zu DW IIs for less than $1,000 before I would ever move.

There is that whole Harbeth and KEF crowd though that is willing to spend more than that on substantially lesser speakers, just because of the brand.

But on a phonograph they are going to be hidden, so nope. I don't want to pay for something I can not see nor can I discern an audible difference.

ORT

Mainly for noise rejection, ORT. But you knew that :)

I noted later that there are some, although I wouldn't say many. And very confused about your last comment. I said MC capability was probably a must.
ahhh, yes - you did. I believe that I took your "high end" reference differently than you intended. I usually don't think of myself as a high end guy; I'm just a buyer of good Schiit. My apologies for the misunderstanding.

In comparison to the rest of the world, I do think that all of us here are pretty much "high end" in our listening endeavors, and anybody who would buy gear from Schiit would not be a stranger to MC cartridges.

You're still welcome to come by, though. :)

Here’s an innovative idea. Little resistor/cap pods that users can swap and plug into the underside of the case. Simplifies the circuit board itself.

Andrew
I like that. But with edible cap pods, because if they're as tasty as they sound, Schiit will have another hit! A consumable revenue stream! 🤣

Like these DIP headers and ZIF sockets? My crazy and totally impractical idea would use LISST enclosures.

Cheapest crazy product should be $149, most expensive $449. Maybe a little bit more due to assembly cost increases. We'll see.

All 3 are products we've not done before.

(And no, none of them is a streamer. Nor a turntable. Nor a toaster.)
Must be a ' Eludium q36 explosive space modulator ' then !!
