Whew. I was beginning to feel left out here.

I'm finishing up my tiny radial speakers with the deluxe cardboard upgrade this morning. Whenever @Paladin79 makes something cool, I feel duty-bound to copy it.

Cardboard speakers? I have a matched pair of Oreo boxes that have housed a pair of Polk car speakers in my off grid cabin for the last 3 years. Somehow they actually sound pretty good. Powered by a Kenwood excelon deck. They can't compete with my Grado headphones and Schiit Fulla but they have gotten me by so far.

A little tube glow, speakers and amp work well together. I need to run the amp in ultra linear mode for more power but triode mode is decent.

You may claim that the box sweetens the sound, someone will scream "coloration!" and clutch their pearls. I would have used a box that held a girdle, it would tighten the bass.

Yep, I changed over to some built by PSVane as well as a higher end 12AX7’s, I like choices.

Try a 12AT7 if you have one. It's a direct replacement electrically.
