I'm thinking about pairing the Vidar 2 with LS50 Meta. Any thought or suggestion?
Someone on these boards have the og Vidar with LS50 metas, iirc. They love it.

I need a rack like that! Where'd you get it? (I may have asked before, sorry for the repetition if so)

Also, impressions of the Pi?
I bought the first one from a seller on Ebay several years ago. But it was only 3 shelves, so I bought another a few weeks ago from a seller on AliExpress. Both of them made by Topping, just sold through various dealers/stores. Happily the second one is identical to the first one dimensionally. There is a slight difference to the finish on the posts, but it's so slight it's almost not even noticeable.

Haven't had a chance to listen to Piety yet. Bad me, I know. With my current work/travel schedule my listening time has suffered badly. I've got some Footscray tubes I want to try in Folkvangr first, then it's on to Piety. Maybe I should retire again and play shuffleboard all day like @Paladin79 . 🤣

It takes a real man to play shuffleboard in the snow, your weak, pork bar-b-cue based blood would freeze.

Yes, I’ve had it since 2015, and have messed with Healeys since the 90s. I painted it that shade of green to match the early racing cars.
Nice! They did a new build 3000 a couple of decades ago and I was sorely tempted, but they didn't bring them to the US and they were eyewateringly expensive.

Yup! They are Brimars made in the Footscray (England) plant. One of my favorite tubes in the Vali 2....interested to see how they do in Folkvangr.

The Vidar aren't really "bridged" as monoblocks, which apparently can cause some degradation. They just use the balanced signal to drive the left and right channels directly or something. Someone correct me as I'm undoubtedly wrong.
There were some Aegir users that thought Aegir sounded "sweeter" in stereo mode, rather than mono mode. I wonder if there are any Vidar users who preferred Vidar in stereo mode over mono mode?
