Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Looks like I will need to build something out of engineer's lego; i.e. extruded aluminum profiles.
@filthy mechanical works with molten metal. Mayhap he can cast something appropriate

In terms of racks, has anyone had any luck in making/buying/stealing a rack that meets with spousal approval? (happy spouse, happy house!)

The aluminum extrusion thing is what I did. Didn’t put it on wheels, but did use wood accents. The extrusion is 1.5” x 1.5”

One thing to note- it’s not light. The aluminum is probably more than 60 lbs with another 20 lbs for the wood.

Other than finishing the wood (there’s about 10-13 layers of finish) and design time (learned 3D modeling as part of it) assembly took about an hour.

Interesting question. I never thought to inquire. 🤣

Better ... my spouse built one for me ... on wheels, so that I can move it around to change cabling

Maybe not 'sonically correct', but I find it excellent !!

A couple of new items on it now, since I took the photo

An audio rack with a built-in wine cellar? Now THAT is cool! 🤣

And practical. I’d stuff a couple bottles of bourbon or scotch and a tumbler in there though.

I doubt this will pass muster with "She Who Must Be Obeyed"

That's close enough to the current 2-channel setup that she likely wouldn't notice the difference. Not sure she even notices what's there now. LOL!

Ahh ... not quite a stash of wine !! ... a mains cable/strip drawer ... although it could be a place to hide my favourite wine !!

Very nice.
She's certainly a keeper.
And the spouse, too, I guess… 😜

I'm really struggling, you guys…

So, I'm trying to find a solution for my headphone rig in the office. I need some sort of rack that can comfortably and neatly hold a Gumby, Bifrost, Lokius, Mjolnir, Folkvangr, Jotunheim, and a Valhalla, and some more stuff like switches.
Comfortably, because it should allow for plenty of air flow.
Neatly, because with that much Schiit, cable management becomes an issue.
It should also be on wheels or something, because I need to be able to move it around so that I can easily reach the back.

I can't find anything that comes even close to what I'm looking for.

Looks like I will need to build something out of engineer's lego; i.e. extruded aluminum profiles.

PS: Could Schiit please start offering their stuff in rack-mountable versions as well? That'd be neat! 🤣
