An excellent explanation. I run specific Class A cathode follower amps all the time with and without loads. One has a load right now since I got most of the parts back from Finnegan for Bill's amp so I have to see if it still works. It mostly does. It would sound much better if I had some proper scotch to enjoy with it.

My Mundorfs have probably 1500 or so hours on them, so they're about halfway burned in. I should probably take them out and put 'em on the Cable Cooker to speed up the process.

I did add some additional wire inside your amp case since it is now the size of a Buick so it will be months before said wire settles in.

There are a couple types of those I like to use, very good caps IMHO. Both are silver and gold oil filled as I recall.
