Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

@Jason Stoddard - can you give us a count on units sold so far? Is it on a record-setting pace for a new product 1st day of sales?

Sure, but how does it sound with the Lores? 😏
So far, pretty damn good. I had to turn up the volume more, as expected, but definitely a step up from the amplifier section of the TA100.

Call me weird, but I think we're gonna be making plenty to keep people occupied for a while. It's not a cheap amp, it's not a super-powerful amp, it's not an amp for IEMs, it's measurements are horrifying by objectivist standards, it runs super-warm...plenty of reasons not to buy it.

If you want to be first up, though, I expect it'll go live early Monday morning (think 6-7 AM PST).

Update to the update: boards are working fine. I'll be taking one home, and we'll be ready for launch on Monday.
Hi ,, does it use alps pot ?

Started out with Queensryche and on to A Perfect Circle now. Lore Reference and Aegir is a hell of a combination.

Folkvangr looks incredible. I just can’t justify the price or know where I would put it.

More useful for the folks on the fence would be: number of units left...
I'm pretty sure the fine folks here can do basic subtraction, but for you we'll take the number remaining and then do the 'complicated' math to arrive at the number sold. 😛

I’ll be throwing a couple high impedance ZMFs at it which should work really well.
Same here. Looking forward to seeing how well my ZMF Atrium and Atticus pair with it. I think they will work quite well with it.

That's my resume picture. Where'd you get that?
I have my ways lol.
You should get your amp by Bastille Day so be prepared. 🤪🤪🤪 I am getting some positive reactions, some I hope to figure out eventually.

@Jason Stoddard Are the shipping estimates (7 - 10 days) thought to be fairly accurate? For once (likely the first time in my life), I actually don't want it to ship earlier, as I will be traveling until the 7th, and wouldn't want the Folkvangr just hanging out outside while I am away. If it doesn't ship for 7-10 days that would actually work out perfectly.

I guess I can just drop a note in on the order and all should be okay.
I think if you have a FedEx and ship with them you can send to a FedEx location for later pickup.

Simply designate delivery to any of more than 1,700 FedEx Office locations nationwide for convenient pickup. FedEx Ground packages will be available within the scheduled delivery time of 1 to 5 business days (Monday–Friday) at most FedEx Office locations.
Hold at FedEx Location Options

+1 for this.

I have done it many times via Walgreens in my area.

There were a couple shipments from Schiit where it wasn't an option, never could pinpoint why...most worked!

Like this?

Tubes are very hot (pretty much same as Valhalla 2). Chassis not so much.

They look even more ominous in black:

Something that had interested me in the past, do the silver and black amps get to different temperatures? Does the silver chassis reflect more heat away and the black absorb it? Some of the things we manufacture are specified like that and I've never actually been able to do a side by side comparison.

Stupid question - I like the Ohm Walsh speakers I have, and aside from lacking the ability to make the speaker housing right now, the Decware Tiny Radials are very intriguing at 4 ohm and 5W max, would it be a bad idea to use the impedance multiplier to make them look like 32 ohms to the Folkvangr ordered this morning, and they don't need but a little bit of power based on being nearfield...
