Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

I have been working with an esteemed group of individuals to do a cabinet upgrade for @bcowen. Only the best cardboard was selected as well as adding additional features to his amp design.

New features include Wi-Fi, controls for both volume up and volume down. Music sensitivity switches that go from John Denver to Marilyn Manson and an assortment of inputs and outputs suitable for Bill’s music tastes.

Is the biohazard switch connected to the outhouse fan?

Absolutely. Oh and I should show off the cardboard more.

I believe that switch connects the low impedance power supply to the high speed fan.

Wait, I just realised where that fan is. Yes. you are correct.

I know I'm not part of the design team, but:

I thought of something: is there protection built into the volume circuit? What happens if @bcowen turned the left knob all the way up and the right knob all the way down (or vice versa) simultaneously? Would the electrons get confused and jump ship, electrocuting Duke's biggest fan?

Feature request: two more Music Sensitivity switches so @bcowen can turn his Music Sensitivity up to 11.

I hope there will be a manual available on-line when the project is finished. I'd like to know the difference between the Marilyn Manson and Biohazard switches (I'd have assumed they perform equivalent functions based on labeling alone), I'm curious about the TAFKaP switch, does the GE warning indicator come with an audible alarm (e.g. "Danger Bill Cowen, danger Bill Cowen" in a good simulation of the Lost in Space robot's voice) and finally, are there any forbidden connection pairings in the Input Pentagram (or is that an Easter Egg for @bcowen).

The sensitivity switches go to 47. I am doing a free upgrade on top of a free build lol, if Bill wants a manual it will be $500 a page and I write big.
Finnegan worked on the volume controls, I only did the labels. Your guess is as good as mine what will happen if Bill does not use them in the proper order.

Yes. Works perfectly fine, no delay that I can discern. Sounds great, too.

Edit:
Maybe I should add that I don't actually watch "TV" in the classic sense. My LG is feeding its audio out via optical into Yggy OG and I exclusively stream content via my AppleTV. So, no cable or satellite or anything. That would be a bit of a waste.
Critical listening is via a Mac mini into Yggy OG via USB.

Hey, Yggy has multiple different inputs for a reason, let's use them. :)
I do pretty much the same thing with my LG, except I'm feeding a Gumby. I use a MacBook Air via USB for serious listening. I guess I'm a blasphemer as well.

I know I’m late to the party but the mains power plug should be on the front with the power switch on the back (or bottom??). Don’t get any ideas here @Jason Stoddard

The sensitivity switches go to 47.
Maybe a “less is more” upgrade with a special Douglas Adams Version where the sensitivity only goes to 42.

Safety first is my motto, I am including a sprinkler system just in case the cardboard combusts, nothing but the best for Bill.😜5ABFEA64-FA2D-4F96-9C17-BA5AEC65E1F5.jpeg

Isn’t there a label on the back side of that bottle that reads “rubbing alcohol”?

I think it is pure water. I am but a simple worker in cardboard but I seem to have heard that pure water is not a good conductor of electricity so this should be a fun experiment. I should add I received Melz tubes from Russia in that cardboard so it is imported and much finer than anything Amazon uses.

Personally, I'm completely fine with the fact that the scale goes to 47.
Oh and in other news I did receive the drivers for tiny radial speakers but it may be a couple weeks before I build cabinets. Unless I do cardboard.😜7F3AE082-1932-46BE-8DE3-2F3DF678E948.jpeg
