Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

You could be going in the right direction. Why is Jason suddenly ranting about the term "AV Receiver"? Perhaps building something that people would put into that category, but it doesn't fit the name? And parts will proliferate when duplicating things for multi channels...
Perhaps a Schiittingrated Amp with a built in internet tuner? Of course they would likely eschew the use of a multi-coloured screen but that is only because some feel that such things deteriorate performance. Feel not think.

I would be surprised if Schiit brought to markert such a tuner.

Schiit has all the ingredients to make a superlative integrated amp. Imagine a Freya or Saga mated to Vidar. For those who do not like or want multiple boxes.

Sorry. I thought we were talking about beer again...! 😁

As to passwords, I remember them. And I figure, when I can no longer remember them, it's time to retire...! 🥲🥲
At last count, I have 374 "contacts" in my phone. I can count the actual number of living, breathing contacts on both hands. The rest are my accounts of various ilk with their assorted passwords and other details. While I have (up until now) made the largest sin in the computing world by having the majority of the passwords only very slightly different from each other for ease of remembering them. Having at least 150 permutations are too much for my feeble simian brain. Last year my phone went into an endless reboot cycle so I was in a panic because of my contact list. Thankfully (or not) Google had my back. I'm moving forward now.

I decided to go with Bitwarden because with their premium version, it's only $10 a year. The cheapest I found before this was $30-something. They also seemed to have the widest support for dongles, which I'm also considering for home and work. Due to work related events this spring, I am highly cognizant of cybersecurity issues and the threats are only getting stronger and more numerous. If you don't have anything to lose, you don't need to worry. On the other hand...

I’m with you on this @wout31 :relaxed:
There is no TV, or any other screen, in my listening room, and I intend to keep it that way.

The thing is, a good 2 channel audio system sounds a lot better than most of these 5.1/7.1 surround systems, so yeah, I also use my audiophile setup when watching movies and concerts.

There is no need to hear explosions happening behind me when they sound like crap! Even in theatres, I'm often baffled by the low quality of the sound.

I believe that is a direct quote from Bob Carver, isn't it?

LA Confidential was the first movie I experienced proper surround sound with a quality setup. Matrix was the next one that left an impression on me

I wasn't talking or thinking surround.
Use a soundbar if you want "better" sound. Still is a huge challenge as the TV sound delivered to your home is very bad in general.
All surround versions are money makers for the audio companies, you need X of everything. Ca-Ching.
But if you like it.......

I have been working with an esteemed group of individuals to do a cabinet upgrade for @bcowen. Only the best cardboard was selected as well as adding additional features to his amp design.

New features include Wi-Fi, controls for both volume up and volume down. Music sensitivity switches that go from John Denver to Marilyn Manson and an assortment of inputs and outputs suitable for Bill’s music tastes.
