All tubes are for the most part visible as well as the meters. They should have showed it off in a dark room, I bet it is dazzling in low light conditions
Pennsylvania right? I have no idea what that thing will sell for but judging by their other equipment, it will be pricey. I suspect 12K or higher but I would need to see inside it to make a better guess. Hmm 235 lbs
Yep. I have had the C-7030 for about 7 years now, working flawlessly. Was gonna buy another 2 years after the first one, and WHOA, had roughly doubled in price. Did not buy then, but am currently looking at the new and used markets for something. I have a lot of CD's I still like to play. Onkyo was a heckuva value play. Sorry to see them go.

I like their use of Pennsylvania walnut in some of their products. An attention to product looks. I have no idea how it sounds but i personally listen to Class A tube sound so my expectations are high.
Most of you may know this by now but Onkyo as such is no more. The name should live on but it will not be the same company that was founded in 1946. I own one of their 7.2 surround sound receivers. Years ago I owned a Denki Onkyo reel to reel as well, early seventies vintage.
The first CD player I ever bought was an Onkyo. Full page ads in Stereo Review with their "opto-coupling" design for separating the digital and analog sections electrically. Sounded pretty bad, but to be fair everything back then sounded pretty bad. On the plus side, my LP collection expanded exponentially as a result.

Ugh. I freely admit to loathing "Dorko". I find him to be waaaaaay too frAudiophilian for me. Yuck.
If others like him. Good for him, LOL! If I were a Scottish toad I'd say, "I canna stand the manlet!"
Yuck. Did I mention I despise that person. Well, I would not be surprised if he does not care for me. Not a problem. There. I said it. I canna stad Dorko.
