I LOVE Washington State. Where else in the world can you summit a 14,410 foor mountain (Rainier) and then be water skiing in Puget Sound that afternoon?
Vancouver, BC??? Different, but similar mountains and water (cleaner) though... 🇨🇦 :deadhorse: :beerchug: :runner: :L3000:

I'd like to live in a state where the perceived median IQ isn't just barely above room temperature.
I'm still looking.
I don't think anywhere in North America will match your criteria...

Have you considered an igloo in northern Alaska or the Aleutian Islands? :smirk:

Circa 103% would be my conservative estimate.
The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.
I loved when I lived in TN and TX other than the hot weather. Other than the weather and friends I HATED living in Commiefornia and leaving was the best thing I ever did...

Yeah, but who wants to be nice all day! Ugh, that's so tiring…
To be honest, the housing prices, gas prices, cost of living is ridiculous here right now $2.22 cdn a litre (@3.785 l is a gallon) which is @ US $5.88 a gallon

The Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia, aren't as tall, but they're older and worn down. Still pretty though. And I guess you could surf and ski off the coast of Va. The best thing, we are the home of Moon Shine. I don't drink, and I'm still proud of that. Shine tops BBQ from anywhere, as a bragging point. 😉

As someone who grew up with the metric system, I think I have earned the right to say:
ºF (pronounced "Degrees Freedom") is a whole lot more intuitive in day-to-day use than ºC (pronounced "Degrees Science").

A nation of anti-monarchists and anti-British-imperialists, hanging on to the Imperial System by tooth and nail. You can't help but to appreciate the irony. 😁

Well the US is pretty famous for being mad at the French... remember "freedom fries" and "freedom toast" circa 2002?

That's cute. Went to the gas station yesterday, shelled out 6.22 USD a gallon. Premium, but still. 6.00 for regular.

Meanwhile, friends and family in Germany get to pay around 9.00USD per gallon, so who am I to complain… (~2.20EUR a liter for regular)
