Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Looks like my flat top LISST's (2 for MJ2 and 1 for LYR3) are now collectibles.
I'm happy the only reason to buy the old version is, potentially, the look in a particular Lyr this or Freya that, with this or that finish in certain lighting, etc. And not, any sonic changes I would simply have to check out.

Happily, metal 6j5's are too scarce to bother.

Yeah, that is Victor Wooten. He's great. If you like Victor's bass playing, also check out Marcus Miller and Stanley Clarke :)

All three appear on the album S. M. V. THUNDER. It's one of my equipment demo discs.

But, I don't think those anti-vibration footers are up to the task. :sunglasses:
Don't egg him on. He might replace the pointy things with sorbothane and ruin everything. ☹️

Seems overpriced.
It's not, it's a steal, actually. They forgot to mention that it's purpose-made to assemble audio racks with. You can't just use any old soft-blow mallet for that, it would ruin the bass. Or was it the base? Can't remember…

Seems kind of like using a wet spaghetti noodle for a drill bit.

Were you also hearing some hum from the Vidar? One cause of mechanical hum from transformers is DC offset in the AC power, and a DC blocker might help. The iFi DC Blocker is working for me (with a non-Schiit amp). You should also contact Schiit about it.
With my Vidars I could not hear the mechanical hum from the listening position, only if I put my ear by the amps. With Tyr I can hear it louder. I’ll consider checking on DC issues

I did not , just rca inputs into the Kef . Don’t really want to connect that way as it’s easier to move rca cables to different amps , which I do.

I don't know if I have seen every post regarding this, but I'd recommend you review what mode Ragnarok 2 is in. If its driving speakers only, the preouts are not active. Preouts are only active in headphone and headphone & speaker mode.
