I was hoping for an upgrade to OSB or pressboard, but I'm not allowed any input. Cranky old retired people are challenging to deal with at times.dovetailed double-walled cardboard?

I try to keep it simple, if Bill offers any input whatsoever I get to drive to NC and drop a concrete block on his right foot. Them’s the rules.I was hoping for an upgrade to OSB or pressboard, but I'm not allowed any input. Cranky old retired people are challenging to deal with at times.
I got my first Mac in 1985, with a carrying case that I used to take it in a few cross-country flights. Not the most portable, but I couldn't live without it. It was the first computer I had full control of, unlike one as in the photo below, which I controlled only at night back in 1974when the 1st Mac came out, I worked near an Apple reseller (no apple stores). They had a promotion of "take your Mac for a test drive". I picked it Friday afternoon so I had it the whole weekend. Came in a carrying case. I had seen the Lisa before, but this Mac was portable!!!
Holy smokes ! ~65k titles, I thought I was hard core with about ~9k titles, your children are fortunate, hopefully they enjoy your musical tastes. I am also working on my next loudspeaker dream system, built from scratch. I have all the drivers to make it happen, sourcing the residual parts and pieces is a pain. What would your dream system consist of?Very well said! Last I looked I have in excess of 65,000 albums so my music additions will be to hard drive. I hope to build my dream 2 channel system and donate some things to my daughter, I will build her a rack system as well.
This is probably not the correct thread for that but I am partial to Sonus Faber speakers, then all tube gear with maybe a Schiit transport and a Freya +. I have friends from Klipsch so maybe La Scalas. I just have to make the space.Holy smokes ! ~65k titles, I thought I was hard core with about ~9k titles, your children are fortunate, hopefully they enjoy your musical tastes. Congratulations!!! Well earned. Seems to memyou might be busier in future…As of today I am officially retired. I should be able to get the Member of the Trade removed from my name. I can either contact the Mods to inform them or cause enough trouble that they find me.
Still use it. Still the best for ptrpping all kinds of files for DB import… Hate Word, Love Excel.Never used VisiCalc. I used to miss Lotus, but now I don't.
I still miss Wordperfect every time I have to fight MS Word to get it to do what I want instead of what it thinks I should do. I hate MS Word.
I stay busy. and thanksCongratulations!!! Well earned. Seems to memyou might be busier in future…
No. But the road case had quite a few handles. And wheels. Was always a sight to watch being unloaded. From a safe distance, of course. So the piano didn't have a handle?
RTTY!You probably wouldn't appreciate 75 baud over HF radio then...

Thanks so much, on to new things for me and more time with my granddaughter.Congratulations @Paladin79 on your retirement!
Wishing you many years of enjoyment on the accomplishment!
Yes, yes I do. My step-father, an IBM lifer, brought home one of the first PCs in '78 or '79 (I think), accompanied by a whole library of those funny little books. They stretched across a whole shelf above his desk.Anybody remember this?
Congratulations. Thanks so much, on to new things for me and more time with my granddaughter.
They grow out of that and start sleeping through the night. Then before you know it, it's prom night and then they're moving out on their own.I wish I could train ours not to wake us between 3-4 am... 6 would be great
